Healthy People
At frist it was so overwhelming, where in the heck do I start. Well I started reading every book I could get my hands on that had any thing to do with health. But more so than books I started to watch people in how and what they ate, Then I started to pay attention to how they looked. Things like the skin, body weight and emotions. This went on for years.
My husband and I come to the conclusion that we must throw everything out of the kitchen and start over. We realized that it had to be the food that we were eating that was the cause to the problem our son was having. Out everything went and we replaced it with the best whole foods we could fine and for us that was lots of organic green leafy food, lots of organic juices mixed with lots of love. We told our son that he could have as much as he wanted that there was no limits. We made sure that there was no other Choice other then lots of choices of whole organic foods.
My brother who is only 6 months older then my son had the same problem. When I told my mother what we were doing she said that it was a foolish idea that we needed to feed our son the same foods we had been feeding him because she believed at the time that the food we were feeding him had nothing to do with his problem.
Within weeks our son started to show signs of relief and within a month there were no more incidents of asthma. Remember at the time my son was 8 years old. Today my son is 48 years old and till this day no asthma attacks. My brother to this day is still having asthma attacks. My mother convince my brother that food had nothing to do with it. Time has proven we made the right decision.
I said all this because now our nations is a GMO nation and there is no way that our health will get better unless we stop eating these foods. Obamacare is not going to solve our health problems. We are.... It does not matter how good our insurance is. It is really up to us to take 100% responsibility for our own health and instead of paying for insurance to take care of our health we could use our insurance in the case of an unfortunate accident happening in our lives. If it were to happen our insurance would be a welcome.
If we think about it the food that we eat could be our insurance and we would avoid the pain and suffering that comes with eating this Frankenstein food. By our actions we would become a healthy nations and be a part of the healing that is so needed.
Today I am so thankful for the wisdom that has been given me to take action and heal myself. At 65 years young I could truly say that I feel great inside and that my body functions in perfect order. Cheers!

Enjoyed your article tremendously. Even knowing you are right it is really hard to eat right. French fries, chocolate come to mind. Thank you for reminding us.
I have been working on removing toxic chemicals from our home but using natural cleaning products. Food will be harder for us but it is next.
I guess I have started on some foods......we use organic milk and almond milk. I purchase meats that are organic, hormone free.
That's great. I would like to rid my family of the poisonous chemical in the food we eat. I am trying to swap out the processed junk for fresh food.
Diet affects everything, even cancer. It's important to avoid GMO products. We don't even know the long term effects of those experiments. And all the additives that are used in processed foods are bad for us. We all have to get wise and live healthier.
Right on! You are some of the lucky ones who found this out early. It took me into the 80's but once I ate healthier foods, years of ailments melted away...I managed to heal myself of problems the medical field failed me for over 20 years. More people need to figure this out. I have many friends who constantly complain about their health problems but also say I eat 'funny' foods. Thanks for sharing this!
I had the same problem with milk. At certain parts of the Day I would develop a sneezing attack and couldn't figure the cause as we live in a wet to mild country (Ireland) that does not have much dust. This attack would last for up to 30 min of constant sneezing and sometimes would occur 2 - 3 times a day. I take vitamins and eat very little processed food, so I figured that the milk might be the problem. I stopped drinking normal milk and reverted to Organic or Skimmed milk and Wow the sneezing stopped and no more attacks. On the odd occassion I might have normal milk in a cup of coffee at a friends house or at home if I run out of Organic Milk (The rest of the Family still drink normal milk) - and not suprisingly the Sneezing begins.Certain products do effect us and some people might react and others show no signs. The thing that I would like to point out is that in your mothers Day there was no processed food and probably no such thing as Asthma and diseases like cancer was rare. This has only developed since food has been mass produced for convenience sake , with unatural additives like preservatives and artificial sweetners being added. Thanks for the Read , I enjoyed your article - Colin
Hi Colin, I had the same problem with sneezing and doctors always said it was allergy's related to the dry & dusty air, yet it happened in the middle of damp winters...again, problem almost eliminated, again coincided with move to soy milk. Ironically dairy farming is one of the largest industries where i grew up...
Some very good points and action taken on your part!
As an "almost" former asthma suffer I have found that switching from "regular" milk to soy milk has almost eliminated it :)

I have thought the same thing, and have recently been trying to replace things in my diet a little at a time. I'm 60 yo, and for the first time, have asthma, high BP, etc. I eat terrible, so I'm trying, but there's a wealth of information out there, so where do you start. I got a real good book the other day though, called the "I Can Do this Diet" diet, by Dr Colbert, I'm just starting it, but read another of his books, and there's so much good info, I'm hoping I can change my ways of eating in order to feel healthier. I have no doubt that most of what we eat effects our health, for the good and bad. Anyway, loved the article, maybe I should do that, just toss out the old, and start new.
