Business Idea 1 - Abstracting Service
If you have superb writing and comprehension skills and are looking for a unique way to help other businesses, you should start an abstracting service business.
An abstracter (I do not know if abstracter is a word) gathers information and reads various publications on a particular subject and creates a document of no more than 10-15 sentences that summarizes the key points of the original.
About Your Customers:
The type of customers for this type of a business may be in a variety of fields looking for someone to reduce large amounts of information into synopses.
What You Need to Start:
- Expertise in a particular field or a staff with expertise in a variety of fields
- Database management experience
- Marketing plan
- Computer with finance software

Yeah I saw it and I though about it for about 5 minutes. Too much work but it would be good for some one out there. Abstracting is not a well know service.
I love to write, and I can read and condense something into a synopses.
1) Why do I need database management experience?
2) A Marketing plan as stated is too general a comment...
3) Why do I need finance software on my laptop??
I'm suppose to being condensing documents down to 15 sentences or less, so items 1,2, and 3 do not make sense!
You should call it a "document condenser", not a abstracter !
Database management I suppose would be need for storing client data. As for financial software, you need that for all the jobs that I am about to list for the next 80 days. Or you need an accountant, it is not general the this business, it is general for all business.
'document condenser' lol I googled it for fun and it is no where close to an abstracter but I think that you should coin 'document condenser' as a new term.
Ha ha! So here I am, February 5th, 2015, 7:25 pm PST, San Diego, CA., USA and I hereby coin the term, "document condenser"! And a person who performs such "document condensing" is a "document condenser engineer" !! ha ha!

And what does a Document Condenser Engineer do?
Well I take your very lengthy document (245 pages) on bio-engineered meat and I reduce it to a two page document on 'white meat chicken'.
I make your over research, hard to comprehend scientific jargon easy for the layman to understand.
