Thanks all,
Maybe I didn't explain in the correct way. I do indeed have a seperte folder for them on my desktop, I was wondering what would it effect speed once uploaded to to my site.
For instance would the images pull faster from an image directory folder or from the WP media library.
I haven't used anything else bit the WP media library. It works just fine for me. Perhaps it's the theme that you are using that is causing the problem? Perhaps it's the quality of the images?

Where would it be best to hold images?

Hi Bryan,
In most sites I build I create a separate folder on the server called 'images' and upload all my site images to that.
I do use the Media Library when I'm building sites for clients because, especially if they're not particularly techy minded, it's a bit more user-friendly for them.
However, there is no difference in the speed at which the images load based on whether they're in a separate folder on the server or within the Media Library (which, at the end of the day, is also just a folder on the server).
The only thing to keep in mind is that, if you're using a backup plugin, you should check the settings to make sure your 'Images' folder is included in the backup process.
Cheers,
Martin.
Awesome cheers Martin,
Exactly the answers I was looking for, thanks for the tip about the backup plugins.👍

Good evening all,
I know that writing your own articles on your chosen niche is the best way to rank and build your site, yet I have come across several sites in my chos
CHANGE - Most people struggle with change. They like their routine and things the way they are. They resist change.
I think that when we personally make changes we are trying to do it for the better. Ok, we want to change jobs, well is it for a better income, or a home relocation. Or a new promotion. I see these as positive changes. We are trying to improve ourselves and our lives. This is only 1 example.
Coming to WA was a change, my habits are changing so that I can implement more time working on my business. This is a positive change, I hope.
Wanda
Thank you Wanda,
It certainly has changed over the years, this community is definitely one of them. I wish I had found WA in the earlier days and had a little more patients.
I believe change is positive now, unfortunately it's taken me a fare few years to realise this.
Onwards and upwards
Kind regards
Bryan
once upon a time you could use others content and outrank them but now days google do there utmost best to seek out the original!.
this to me is only good for high traffic sites with big followings already who are simply looking for good content to keep there fans interested and engaged on there website.
You are way more better of by spending the time to create the article in your own words and make it better and more attractive if ranking is your objective.
Thank you OTG,
Thank you for your wise words I have been out of touch from the online business world for a fare few years now and still trying to learn how much things have changed. I can remember when you could put a splash page up for a clickbank product as well as using Google AdWords to attract costomers and finding the right ad click through ratio with split testing. Lol I see those days have long gone, but it's nice to see that content is still king.
Thank you for your reply 👍
Anytime Bryan:)
Things sure are ever changing.
But splash pages are still in if ppc is your thing:)
Its just the rules are much tighter lol.
But SEO is very much still a dance routine of ever changing requirements that all leads to credibility and user satisfaction.
Second time round huh?
Lol more like third, forth, I have dabbled with many ventures over the last decade but other responsibilities have always been more important, family, children, finance's but I keep coming back with a more wiser and positive outlook on the freedom I could potentially have. Everytime the passion getting bigger to support my growing family.
I hear ya lol.
I'm on my final dedication! and all is working like it should:)
The big difference is in the doing of every step one at a time brother:)
Wish you and your fams the very best
Rob
Awesome Rob,
