Another scam to decipher?
Unbelievable just how many scams are out there on the internet awaiting their next victim. An acquaintance sent me this for me to advise him whether to apply or not.
The first red flag is in English on a Spanish website - not impossible, but you immediately adopt a cautious mode. The listed address is in Cape Verde, a former Portuguese colony and the Portuguese word for Cape is Cabo which they used.
When I googled their phone number, I got this: http://www.scamnumbers.info/shownumber/883510001246114/
The International Telecommunication Union, a United Nations agency, is responsible for telephones with the area code 881 and 883 and are, therefore, not dedicated to any particular country.
It is often difficult to locate someone using these area codes.
The cost for using this phone varies from US$0.75 to $2.70 a minute. These area codes are then assigned to about 35 carriers.
Phone number 883510001246114 is assigned to Voxbone, cloud communications (IaaS) company based in Brussels, London, San Francisco and Austin.

Plenty and plenty of scams going on and everyone needs to be wary of anything that seems fishy.
