I thought some of you might enjoy a little mini-vacation. To a place famous around the world, with a reputation of being, dirty, crowded, dangerous and ugly.

Judge for yourself.

Seems like a lovely park though very busy and well used which is nice, kind of reminds me of Hyde Park in london though do not think its that big

1

I've been to Liverpool, never to London. Photos of Hyde Park, remind me more of the Botanical Gardens rather than Prospect or Central Park in Manhattan. I used to live two blocks from Central Park and I now live two blocks form Prospect Park. You've got to have a park.

Hyde Park is 350 acres. Prospect Park is 526 acres if you add the Brooklyn Botanical Garden (52 acres) across the street, that would be 578 acres.

Hyde Park as in being a inner city park, have not seen Central Park but will be going my brother lives up state NY, I live within a large country park which covers 30,000 acres in Scotland , I think it is great that inner cities have parks for recreation especially those with families whilst I love visiting cities I like the wide open spaces

1

That's interesting, there's 29,000 acres of land — 14 percent of New York City is set aside for parks.

1

that is great I think it is lovely to see as much green as possible within cities, especially the really big ones , I am looking forward to seeing Central park when I go out to NY

1

I hope you'll consider a visit to Brooklyn, and Prospect Park as well.

1

I certainly will I know New York is very big and busy so hope it will not be too much lol used to the village life now, but looking forward to visiting this part of the USA

I like you choice of the music in the video. Good songs and a nice mixture.

1

Thanks Bob, did you get my PM from the other day?

1

I did. I have to read it again

1

It's beautiful. :)

1

Yes, it is! Thanks for the visit.

1

Very beautiful place, I like it. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for looking, and you comment. Phil

1

You are most welcome.

1

It's beautiful, Phil! I know there are many in-city sweet spots in my hometown of Philthydelphia, too. Thanks for the tour!

1

Thank you Carla, I'm in my backyard every day, and I always feel so lucky to have it so near.

1

Very nice!

1

Thank you for looking Erika, I just added a follow. All the best. Phil

Thanks for looking.

Nice work of editing Phil.

1

Thanks Skip, the camera movement is a little shaky, I should have used a tripod. But, it was kind of a 'Shoot From The Hip' production.

Fantastic! M

1

Melody, I showed you this a while ago, thanks for looking again.

1

I now have a new vacation destination! Great video!

1

Big backyard right, you're welcome any time. Thanks for looking.
It's not what people imagine is it?

Not at all. I wouldn't have realized there was such a treasure if you had not taken the time to share it. My backyard is the woods :) I live in a rural area so there is not a central area where all that activity is going on. I was raised in Atlanta so I do miss the city at times. There is just something about going to a place where you can watch and interact with people you may not meet otherwise.

Ten million yearly visitors.

Wow! It really is a treasure and I had no idea Boston had such beautiful places! I also love the history as I'm sort of a history nerd. I find it fascinating!

1

Boston? I lived in Boston for a while, but it's BrooklynPhil again. ;^)

Crap! I mean Brooklyn...lol. My brain has been like a mexican jumping bean today. Sorry :(

1

Yeah, I think you had me mistaken for Boston Blackie. ;^)

Nope. Just a brain fart.

1

That was my second choice for a screen name here, but I went with Brooklyn. ;^)
