ChatGPT going bankrupt.
I watched a video on youtube that stated Chatgpt will be bankrupt by 2024. You can google it I just thought I would sound the potential alarm.

Hi Brie,
Remember when Amazon was losing money hand over fist for donkey's years while at the same time their stock was rising? These giant companies are initially more focused on building market share and then capitalizing on that asset to make money like Amazon is currently doing.
Keep asking pertinent questions. It brings forth attention and great answers.
Cheers.

This is slightly old and already outdated news - things move quickly in the world of AI!
1. - see Partha's reply below
2. There is now an enterprise version of ChatGPT for companies. Any company that wants it needs to contact OpenAI and discuss needs and pricing. Can you imagine how much money that will soon be making per day?
You can turn your alarm off.
All the best,
Julia
Hi there Brianna.
Thank for sharing your invaluable information about the not-so-good news. Do you have a link so that we can check it out. I am always on tube anyways, so I can look it up and save you the time. Are you serious? Is this coming from good sources.? I haven't really watched any TV later. It is probably a hot topic right now.
I feel like I have to know more about this. Can you provide any additional information? Is there a website or something where we can track the news and get more updates? I would really like to stay informed about this.
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. It's important that we stay informed so that we can make the most informed decisions.
Best,
Rachele
Brie, that ain't going to happen. One thing people need to remember to do your due diligence first before believing such statement like that. What I do is research the claim and check to see if its fake news or genuine news. From my research it took one article to go viral then the news media picked up on it and the news spread like a wildfire. Its true that the investors are spending a lot of money to keep the platform running (remember their website crashed last year when so many users used it) and 20 dollars a month for GPT 4 isnt helping them to break even or the Open AI API as its very low cost like some cents. Meanwhile Forbes was the one to say what I stated its not going to bankrupt. Forbes article elaborated that its business model had grown at a rapid pace. As Partha discussed MS vs Google. Now we look at Bing ( Microsoft) ChatGpt, who is paying Open AI to run that? Of course Microsoft so therefore Forbes concluded just like I have that Open AI is here to stay because of its “customer centric service” business model quoted by the Forbes article written by Lutz Finger. Thus, bankruptcy is off the table, period.

Nope!!!
I think someone looked into the main investors of ChatGPT (OpenAI).
Then this same person looked at the estimated monthly costs to keep ChatGPT running.
And from there they "worked out" that ChatGPT would be "going bankrupt" within X number of months.
Then of course everyone jumps on the bandwagon, "rewriting" the first article "in their own words" (ahh. The internet's idea of unique and original content, LOL).
However, the one thing that many people are NOT looking at is that ChatGPT's main investor is:
MICROSOFT
How long have Microsoft and Google been doing "Battle"?
YEARS
Currently, Microsoft has the "upper hand" over Google in terms of the most used "AI writing tool".
Why do you think Google came out with "Bard" within a few months?
The other thing is Google is basically a web-based company, whereas Microsoft has decades of experience in application development.
Quite clearly in the "Battle of Microsoft vs. Google", Microsoft will inject many more billions into ChatGPT, just to keep their servers running.
Sure, OpenAI and ChatGPT may be losing some users, but ChatGPT is the fastest-growing application in the history of the internet.
Currently Microsoft is gloating, "Up Yours Google, We've had Google Search vs Bing Search, we've had Microsoft 365 vs Google Workspace, and now we are kicking your butt in terms of the biggest and fastest explosion in application development. Here you go OpenAI, here's another $10BILLION".

AAAWWWW ok. Well good to know!
Well said Partha, and recently being connected with information with a front end developer at OpenAI (a friend of a friend) from silicon valley, he indicated they are making "boat loads" of cash off of ChatGPT plus.
Costs are going to come down, membership revenues are going to go up, and Microsoft is going to continue to fund this until they "break Google"...and ultimately until they have built a sustainable and profitable revenue stream out of the AI foundation. They will (perhaps not break Google, but become profitable.
You can always rely on Partha for the real juice! Cheers, Jenni.
