Five Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Google Statistics Facts For Newbies

I was researching SEO methods to improve my SEO content writing. Prince ParthaB's blog from yesterday piqued my interest in searching for statistics. These five facts are helpful for newbies who are just getting started on their website. I want to share these exciting facts.

ParthaB's Blog Post From Yesterday

Rather than re-hashing what has already been published and read. I will pull just six facts I found from various sites I researched, including their blogs: Google, Ahrefs, Backlinko, HubSpot, BrightEdge, Moz, and other sites. I did not research the stats results of other Search Engines, just Google.

We know from experience that our search for keywords comes from a search engine. We use these search engines: Google, Bing, Yahoo, Duck Duck Go, Video, and Voice search engines. Most of those keywords are from Google organic searches. This means not clicking on paid ads but links below the paid ads.

1. Organic SEO Searches on Google.

Brightedge reports around 53% of the searches are from organic traffic. Backlinko tells us only about 0.63% of searches are on the second page. Another source states that 92% of the search engine that people use are Google. Why is that? We know that Google has most of the market share compared to other search engines. Other search engines only have about 0.22%-2.90% of the market share.

2. Keyword SEO on Google.

Moz reports 8% of the queries are in a question format. I think the numbers today are much larger than what Moz reports. Google now uses the People Ask section, which tells me their data possibly is outdated. Google tweeted back in February that only 500 million search queries, which is 15% of the keywords, are searches that its algorithms have never seen. That is because the queries are new, and it takes longer for Google to find answers. With all these new updates, Google will more likely improve its results.

All of us here at WA learn from OEC lessons about keyword research. We have tools available to use keyword tools like Jaaxy, Google Autosuggest (taught by ParthaB), Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, and other SEO keyword search tools as they are just keyword tools to help us find keywords to get ranked in the search engine with Google, Bing, Yahoo, or other search engines.

3. Ranking SEO on Search Engines

Ahref's blog indicates that about 92% of the website's pages do not get organic traffic from Google. Is this number surprising? No, because Google does not have to index or rank your site if it does not follow its guidelines for authority sites. Google will not index or rank every article you write. That is just a fact that every website blogger needs to accept. Ahref found that the top sites were ranking for 1,000 others on the total ten pages of Google and the average age is two plus years old website. ParthaB is correct that you can rank for many other keywords in your article.

4. Featured Snippets SEO on Search Engine

Featured snippets are at the top position at 0 on Google search. When a person queries Google in searching for an answer to their question. Google will take an informational article and place it as a featured snippet. It is a brief excerpt about answering what people are seeking. The most common featured snippets are recipes, reviews, events, or other informational articles.

Moz reports 23% of the search result page in Google has a featured snippet; by contrast, Afref suggests about 12.30%. I believe more websites will get featured snippets soon.

I only know of two WA members, Andre and Cassi of Troy, who followed ParthaB's Keyword Potions

5. Google SEO Statistics

There are over 3 or 4 billion searches on Google every day, and only the top three search at least 55% of the clicks; meanwhile, 40% of the clicks have buyer's intent. Most of the traffic will come from desktop users, 65%. Mobile users account for at least 60%. YouTube HD videos are 68% on the first page of YouTube results. Voice searches are now gaining traction for general inquiries.

Conclusion

The statistics that we see explain that there are billions of websites out there that have yet to be discovered. It is essential to produce high-quality content and use Google AutoSuggest to help you find what people are looking for. We see that most articles now have two intents. Informational articles and buyer's intent (transactional posts) are the key to increasing your traffic and getting your article ranked on the first page of Google.
