I agree, this is a problem for support - or, previously, try to log in with a different browser, that often changes the picture

ie. is it better to have one post with many comments or multiple posts with just a comment or 2 each for SEO? Thanks for your thoughts!
Both are good strategies for SEO, comments add freshness and increase content length which helps that particular post to rank or remain ranking highly.
Adding different posts enables you to rank more often for different or even the same keyword through different content.
Having both is best.
Multiple posts are generally better for SEO, especially if targeting different keywords. Each new post causes the search bot to crawl the site and so presents a ranking opportunity for the relevant keyword.
1 or 2 quality comments per post is also valuable as it shows an overall consistent engagement on the site compared to having one popular post that gets a lot of interaction and nothing happening on other posts. ~Jude

does anyone know of a guide to help with setting up CJ? I've accepted I'll need to try and sort out an 8ben form for the US, it's also asking how I'll be promoting and I can't
I'm in Australia. I do not use the cj network. I am considering it.
Make sure you are following the information required for Publishers (not Advertisers).
Do you have your website up yet? You should have your website up and running with some content before you get going with cj.
As to how you are promoting - I imagine Advertisers would want to see a response from you along the lines of:
- through my website traffic
-search engine marketing
-social media, etc.
I don't see why you would ever need to change that.
They have a YouTube training channel. This has ten videos to help you get started.

They will deposit commissions directly to bank accounts in Australia so I'm not sure why you need a form for the U.S but it would only be so that they have it confirmed by you that you will not be paying taxes in the U.S. - so that should not be a problem.
