Expect The Unexpected

So I have been in the military for only 4 years and was planning to do the whole 20 year deal.

I've been to Afghanistan and many other places and I found out that I will be getting medically discharged due to my back problems that happened while deployed.

Being the man I am, I have always fought through the pain and just continued doing what I do best, and that was training my men for combat.

My Wife was concerned because some nights I couldn't get out of bed, and just a simple thing like tying my boots became a problem.

So I did what she wanted me to and that was to go and get my back checked out.

Come to find out, I had like 3 slipped disk and 1 protruding disk.

It was pretty bad and I tried to get better but nothing worked. So I was told I can't do my job as an Infantryman and I will be getting medically discharged from the Army.

I took it hard but I was looking at the bigger picture, I could finally spend all the time with my family and actually get to work on my websites and become that work at home dad I always dreamed of.

I always try to think positive and just adapt and overcome the situation.

Anyways, good luck to you all and no matter what happens to you in life, always look on the bright side :)

Take care and have a great one!

-Jaime

I'm sorry things worked out this way for you but God always has a plan when he closes one door he wont close one until he opens another one for you..In your case he opened you the door to Wa, take it as a full fledged opportunity to take this time for your family and get financially secure with WA...Your not along...Good luck to ya

Thank you for the great comment and I will work hard to make ends meet no matter the situation :) Take care my friend.

chiropractor, buddy!

Works wonders, but I hate going.

I have very similar to you. Sometimes it takes me 3 or 4 hours just to turn from my left side to my right side in bed.

Sometimes it takes me an hours to get out of bed and stand up.

The pain is intense.

Go to chiropractor, it can be a slow fix...

My hip was also dislocated, don't know how...2 slipped disks (herniated) which is the proper medical term.

yes, I know the pain. Standing, sitting, walking, lying down, it's there 24/7.

But...now mine is improving, I would say for a week now that it's 50% better than it was 3 weeks ago when I last went to chiropractor.

At first, a week or two of being extra sore, then gradual improvement.

I've had it twice now. The sciatica, started 2 years ago. Chiropractor fixed me as I went to him about 5 times from December 2015 to March 2016.

It took about 2 or 3 weeks after each visit to chiro for me to feel a bit better. But each time was about 10-20% better after a couple of weeks, maybe 3.

Then, in April 2016 I was okay again, I got out of bed in 5 seconds like a normal person, I walked downstairs free of pain and said to the wife, "look at me, and did a little dance"

but...

my fault, I continued sitting at the computer too much and about 3 months ago it came back, overnight!!! OMG I was so depressed.

Anyways, this time I booked chiro again, and although I hate it there, I always get a little bit better after 2 or 3 weeks.

Now, about 50% better, I can handle the pain better, I can turn over in about 10 minutes in bed. I can get off the bed in about 1 minute. I can site and type for longer and I can stand straighter, for longer, with less pain.

I say this to you now. Believe me.....Chiro works...slowly, but it works.

Know after you've been weightlifting? the pain and sore muscles you get after that? That's what it feels like for a couple of weeks after your visit to chiropractor.

In China, they are called, or were called, Bone setters...I can see why.

It works, go there.

Thank you for sharing and the great advice. I tried chiro and I also had some steroid shots and nothing is working. I will continue to get checked out and see what happens.

Take care my friend and I hope you recover in a quick hurry.
Take care :)

Chiro can take weeks buddy, keep trying

ps. feeling about 70-80% better today.

That's what I'm talking about! Happy to hear that.

I think that is great not all the stuff going on with your back but that you can be home with your kids and believe me it is worth it Jamie because the time goes by so fast and before you know it they're all grown up. So take this as a BLESSING. And I would like to say THANK YOU for your service!!!!
Carol

Yes for sure Carol I will enjoy every second with my family. Thank you :)

Jaime, it is a blessing in disguise. Have a quality time with you family, and a successful online marketing.

I knew the pain you had undergone cos 14 years ago, I was in the same boat as you as I could not even crawl to my attached bathroom.

An ambulance carried me all the way to a private hospital. My both legs were tied with a pulley attached two plastic containers of water for 3 days. It pains like a hell at the begin. But I refused to be injected with morphine as I don't want to be addicted to it.

On the fourth day , I was discharged.

Now , in order to avoid pain, I am not supposed to carry object thing more than 10Kgs.

Take care, and hope you on speedy recovery soon.

Thank you so much and I everything goes well for you too. Take care my friend :)

Thank you for sharing your story. And thank you for your service.

There are indeed 'blessings in disguise' and I hope you are able to spend time with your family. Children grow up so fast. Your daughters are so precious.

And when you stay positive and look to the bright side, this can indeed help the healing. May you recover quickly.

Thank you for the very kind words Myra, I really appreciate it :)

Hoping you are able to correct your health issues. Sorry your plans have changed. My father was in the military for over twenty years. He was 100 mph all the time. It will be an adjustment I'm sure for you. With every adversity there is an equal or greater opportunity. Look for your opportunities.

Thank you and I will learn to transition back to my normal life in due time :)

Veterans Day! Thanks to you and for all who serve!

There is always a greater plan in place - everything does happen for a reason. Sometimes we jus have to have faith that something better is waiting for us. I had to make the decision earlier this year to take a break form my career for health reasons. I have 2 children and a husband that runs his own business. I have to say that the time I have spent with my children has absolutely been the best - and our family is much better off for it. And now I can spend more time on my online endeavours. I wish you every success in this new chapter of your life.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it :)

Jaime, physical setbacks like yours would stop so many...you have turned what felt like defeat into your own personal victory. I admire your fortitude....it will take you far in the online world. You have such beautiful children...notice how happy they are to be with you? The old saying "when one door closes, another one opens" really does hold true.

Thank you Rosie and yes, another door will open and beyond it I know will be great things in store :)

That's not good to hear Jaime. My son-in-law is a Capt in the Australian army & a chopper pilot. He has done lots of courses to stay out of active duty, all to his benefit though. He also has some back problems but keeps himself very fit doing barefoot waterskiing. So in the end it is a shame that all that you do for your country & you get hurt along the way.....

Yes but it happens to the best of us, sometimes we push our bodies beyond its limits.

When times get rough on u or whom ever don't think the worst of urself i am a mother of 7 children rite to this day i lay on my couch wondering why single mothers or fathers go threw life so hard,But i had to come to terms with myself to except the things i can't change an the courage to knw the difference all my followers have a bless nite

I totally identify as a single parent also. It makes you stronger and able to see things more realistically. Your children will love and admire you for being there for them. Well done Theresa !

Thanks PaulineT,I totally agree with that being said mine has made me stronger due to the fact that i have one that's incarcerated so seeing him leave my side it felt like apart of me was lost an haveing to see my other children go threw the pain with me. That's why im trying to learn everything about business cause I hope to own my own business some day

Must have been awful Theresa! I admire your courage and positive thinking. You are definitely in the right place to build a solid business. Keep learning through the WA courses, ask questions if you need help and share your up and down days. We all support one another here. Keep smiling too. Makes you feel better. :)
