Hello, does anyone know what happen to the profile pictures and all the other ones? Where did they go?

Yes, it's because the Amazon S3 was down, Carson commented on Loes' question about it....

Is it working again for you?

there was a post on this earlier we seem unaffected by it in the UK so we are lucky

Ah...Amazon...

All the pictures including blogs and trainings are gone...

I quote a WA member : "Hey everyone, just an update to let you know that all images at WA will be showing the "empty" user image until Amazon fixes the Network Issue they are facing with their S3 data storage platform. 1000's of services are being affected worldwide."

lol, interesting question.. :)

GOOD MORNING FAMILY,

So, I do work for some freelance sites to make extra income on top of my real jobs. I recently signed up for People Per Hour https://www.peopleperh

I do freelance work but more on the graphic design side of the house

That's great, I hope you are getting work. I wish you nothing but success :)

Freelance work can provide a good supplementary income.
I like Roberts advice :-)

Hello John,

Yes, I also like Robert's advice. I am exploring various ways to make money. Like they say do not put all your eggs in one basket. Plus, I HATE WAITRESSING!!! So, that is why I keep looking. Thanks for the follow :)

Carol,

I prefer to find freelance writing jobs from various sources that will pay anywhere from 4 to 10 cents per word. The majority of content writing networks do not pay that much and can tend to be low quality content.

There are a lot of better options available and most are freelance writing gigs with established companies and people with websites looking for writers. Many of these opportunities would rather deal directly with the writer instead of using a content writing network.

For some additional ideas and for a link to my favorite free freelance writing directory, see my training below. Robert, your NJ neighbor ;)

Hi Robert,

Thank you so much for the info. I will definitely check out your training video. Have a great weekend and enjoy the game.

Excellent tip. Thanks Robert!

You are welcome.

It was my pleasure neighbor. ;) GO FALCONS!

Yes, HERE WE GO FALCONS, HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!

The two organizations I have heard of are Upwork (formerly Elance as mentioned and Fiverr. Best of luck in your searching Carol!

Thanks, Mike, how have you been? Did you go to Vegas?

I have heard good things about Fiverr. I registered with them a couple of days back. So, to make the best use of them, I got an Amazon Kindle account, and read books related to freelance work before using them.

No Vegas for me Carol but I will be going to the American Writers and Artists Web intensive in Austin, TX the last week of this month! I will let you know of my findings there. BTW don't forget to watch Jay's report on Vegas Saturday at 2000 Eastern!

AWAI is expensive. Hope it worked for you. I have enrolled with them, and get mixed feedback here at WA. Some have lost thousands of dollars to a weekend course with AWAI, which did not earn them a dime. All the 'big shots' are there; one can pick a few writing tricks.

Yes, I never enrolled with them all they do is ask for money.

I enrolled in their Infinity program. I paid $670 to get started and was stupid enough not to ask for my money back in the first 30 days. $670 is nearly two years of Wealthy Affiliate! They are expensive ebooks. FULL STOP. They never canceled my account after I ceased to paying them any more money but keep reminding me of the installments.

And, I assume it didn't teach you anything, really? Yes, I find that I can learn more here and when they start asking for money I usually X out.

They taught me what an ebook on Amazon would teach. :) A collection of ebooks. Books teach for sure! But I can have 2 million ebooks a year on Amazon for just $22 a year!

AWAI forums are crap. Their Facebook groups (couple of them) have activity, but they form cliques. Nowhere close to friendly like here. Majority of their forums are dormant and no one answers!

I also purchased John Morrow's guest blogging course. They have a super expensive ebook for $200. Here just a book of maybe 50 pages. Never asked for my money back. AWAI was the second thing. Will not do a third mistake!

AWAI sells another course Circle of Success(yet another upsell after Infinity) where they supposedly give editorial feedback. Jon Morrow has an upsell of $200 a month for 10 editorial reviews where you get your guest posts published on a 'leading' blog. I have seen WA members commenting on Jon Morrow's blog. Hopefully, their editorial support is better than AWAI for $2400 a year, Circle of Success is nearly $5000 a year. I don't know how they help!

OMG, that is crazy and I do not have that type of money. I am lucky I can make my monthly payments here and that can be a struggle. So, right now my motto is if it is not for free then it's not for me :)

All the best!
Great talking to you!!(and venting!!!)

No problem, thank you and you can talk to me anytime you know where to find me. All the best to you as well, and no more wasting money on these stupid idiots that do not give you anything back in return, but headaches. At least, we have WA which is a great source of knowledge and majority of the people actually care.

AWAI has a module on tips for upwork. If you want I can share them with you. Have you tried wonderresearch?

Also, https://www.usertesting.com/ is good for some easy and extra cash.

No, I haven't and you can share anything with me. I take all the help I can get, I need it:)

Try http://askwonder.com and http://usertesting.com for a start. I will tell you more. There are loads of user testing websites, which have projects in the U.S. - quick and easy cash. You're lucky living in the U.S. and English as your first language.

I will tell you more.

Thanks for that :)

Hey Carol,

It seems legit to me but I haven't tried it yet.
I am doing some freelance jobs on Upwork as well and this site looks a bit like of 'copy' of it.
I think it all depends on who hires you in fact.
I have had bad experiences on Upwork, which weren't related to Upwork itself but to the companies that hired me.
I think that Upworks Customer Service is really awful to solve any issues so that's definitely something to consider before starting to work for someone.
I would go for it and see for yourself without expecting too much ;)
Good luck!
Angélique

I appreciate your honest feedback.

The feedback on this site would be mixed like upwork. It often depends on who hired you. There are people who have made millions on upwork because they carefully utilized their time and projects. Then it has been a disaster for many.

Thanks, I will try it out and let you know how it goes :)

I actually just started getting some info on ghost writing; I'd be interested to see other comments tonyour question. I think I'd prefer to use a site that at least one other person has used before, just to save time. I'll check out the one that Defiant6 mentioned.

That's great and yes I tried the other site but I do not have enough experience for them. I am fixing up my home office #2 because my daughter has her own office and mommy needs her own :) But I will PM you in a few days with some things I discovered to make money with your blog and social media. You know every little bit helps plus ways to get more traffic to your site because we need to start getting that little airplane number to go down. WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

OMG, it is FRIDAY!! YIPPPPEEEEEE TGIF!!!!!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND Veronica :)

Have an incredible weekend Carol....which for you, I'm sure is easy!!!

Thanks :)

I have done some freelance work last year and earned some money that way. I've never heard of people per hour, but I did freelance work at Upwork.com . It's a great place for doing freelance work! I haven't really done much lately just because I've been so busy with my day job and then very busy recently working on my 2 websites. If I get the time later this year, I might jump back in.

That site sounds familiar, I'll take a look. Thanks for the tip!

Thank you for sharing :) Have a great weekend!!!
