Hi to all. Hope you are doing wonderful in this process of building your website and business. I wanted to ask a question: how long the "About me " should be. Any recommendation

Hi, I followed you because you asked the question I was asking. The about me page and I got my answer. Thanks so much and welcometo WA.

I think it really depends on your niche. I've got two websites that aren't that personal, the information is mostly for fun - so i didn't do long about me pages. But when I do a more personal site, I'll make a longer one. basically.......do whatever you are comfortable with.

Thank you bradgro for the advice. Good point.

Steve has the right of it, focus more on providing the information that your readers want to see, length isn't the issue. More isn't necessarily better.
Cover the topic and you have enough.
Make it personal and personable. An image of you is important.

Thank you Labman for the tip. I guess we have to keep in mind that the websites are created for people and therefore the content needs to connect to people's lives . Thanks again

Hi, instead of trying to answer your questions I thought it might be better to show you an example of my about me page which has served me quite well; http://retirehealthywealthyandwise.net/about-me

Great about me page, thanks for the invite. 'll be sure to refer back to it.

Thank you rcbonay for sharing your about me page. It sure helps when you see examples of it:-) and yours is very good one. Thanks again

Dear bets( pardon my abbreviating your name, it creates a sense of endearment without "getting fresh." Mayo5150 and steveo5770 have responded, and in my view have given some excellent suggestions. If I may add my two cents, think of "appropriateness," I know that is subjective, but it can be an effective guide in developing your own story. Additionally, (this is my lazy solution) observe other professionally done "about me" graphics on the web, and use those as a means of developing your own appropriate story. I wish you every success as you continue to build your business.

Regards

Hi, I'm doing an about me page for my new bootcamp site, I plan to explain who I am and why I have built the site and if it's approaching 500 words then I will leave it at that, I lean towards 500 to 600 words per page myself, if it's less put some more photo's in.

Thank you for your feedback and no worries about abbreviating my name ;-)where do I find the responses from Mayo5150 and Steveo 5770, is it down their profile? Thanks again

The purpose is to connect with your readers, or "visitors". That's what I'm keeping in mind as I write my own. Length? Whatever it takes:)

Absolutely, it's so true. I tend to forget it...it's a very important point! Thank you again

There isn't really any criteria for how long it should be. It should tell your readers why you created your site in a way that makes you relatable to them.

Thank you Steveo 5770! I guess that's the whole purpose of creating a website, it's really to connect to the audience. I would love to read your insights about this question if you already had the chance to answer it. Thanks again
