I have a question about the two siterubix websites that free WA members get.
1: Are they allowed to add affiliate links?
2: Is it true that the free websites will
Hey Ben.
1. Yes, but with the caveat that many affiliate programs require verification, often a code has to be inserted between the <head> tags and this isn't possible on siterubix sites used by free members, as the editor has been disabled.
2. I am given to understand that free websites are being deleted, probably if they've been inactive for a certain period of time, ie. the member hasn't logged into them. You'd need to check in with Kyle or Carson to find out if that's 30 days or not.
Hope this is of some help.
Rich.
Thanks so much @Rich! Do you know if Clickbank affiliate links would work? I really appreciate you taking the time to answer!
I'm not 100% sure but it does look like you need to be able to access header.php which free users of siterubix cannot do. https://support.clickbank.com/hc/en-us/articles/220376827-ClickBank-Trust-Badge
Thank you @Rich! That seems to be talking about Clickbank products, meaning the merchants who OWN the products and want to use Clickbank's payment processing system and want to display Clickbank's badge on their payment page.
Affiliate links are probably different.
Thanks so much and have a great weekend!
1) Yes, you can add affiliate links to your free websites
2) No, your websites will not be deleted after 30 days if you choose to keep your membership at the free level. The drawbacks are that you cannot have a custom domain name on those sites and you don't get access to the rest of the lessons on how to market effectively. But you can still do whatever you want with your two sites.
That's my understanding at least :)
Thanks Kiersten! I was asking that because in Carson's original post in 2012 announcing the free websites, it was mentioned that they will get hosted for only 30 days. I wasn't sure if things have changed since them.
Thanks again!

I don't think the Youweb.siterubix.com will be deleted if you don't upgrade. But if you upgrade you will have more facilities. Check it on the table of starter member v/s premium member.

Is there any way to find out whether a training created by a fellow member is available to free WA members? Thanks!
It will be available during their 7 day trial. After that, they'll have to upgrade to have access to it or any training.
Thanks so much! So I can offer any training as a bonus in my welcome message (besides the premium courses created by Kyle and Jay) and they'll be able to view it, right?
Yeah, most training is available within the Starter membership. Any training within OEC (level 2-5) or Affiliate Bootcamp (2-7) and all the live classes are Premium.
But yeah, you can share the other training, blog posts, questions, etc. and a Starter will be able to see it.
