After digging around some more and getting VitalyG's help, it looks like Google is trying to cheat again.
They are doubling your Max. CPC.
For example, I had $0.50 for my Max. CPC, but I was getting CPC's of $0.97 to $1.00.
Vitaly recommend I change my Max. CPC to $0.25 so I did, and what do you know?!??!!!
Google reduced my CPC's down to around $0.48.
It's sad that you can't trust big corporations, but of course I should know that by now.

Hey Rick,
After fretting like crazy and wasting loads of time worrying about Keywords... now I simply ask myself how do I want my content found... what might searchers be looking for when looking for my helpful posts...
Then I tested those phrases and most times I would discover other phrases I had not thought of... and I'd make note of those too... and, whenever possible use those too... sprinkled throughout accordingly, of course.
Now... I no longer waste a lot of time with keyword researching.
You may find the following post most helpful: Stop worrying about keywords so much That article has helped me a LOT!
Hope you find this helpful too.
Thank you and I'll check out that article, but when it comes to ads, the keywords are critical.
Are you talking about keywords in articles or ads?
Rick
Sorry Rick, I thought you were referring to posts. You didn't specify ads so that's where my mind went.
Ads... I'd be seeking whatever keyword your potential customers would use in finding your product and ad.

Kyle said to turn off Mobile Phones in the Devices Settings when creating Google Ads, but should Tablets remain on or turned off also?
Hey Rick,
Personally, I would make ANY mobile device NOT display any ads, not just Google Ads.
Reason being, the more plugins you force load content on a page makes your pages/posts take longer to load.
Again, personally I NEVER make a purchase on a mobile device. I strictly use my tablet for entertainment... and quick searches for information.
All purchase are done from my desktop (which uses a VPN) in order to protect my privacy.
Hope you find this helpful.

Kyle mentioned in one of the initial PPC training classes that mobile users don't convert as well as desktop users when running PPC ads.
How do I eliminate mobile users
I finally found the Device Settings under Insight and Reports.
You can see some screenshots of where I found them in the attachments below if this helps anyone.

Hey Rick,
In asking DuckDuckGo your question (my preferred search engine for technical questions), it looks like others have asked the same thing and MAY have been given advice that might work for you.
See screen print below...
Running the same search and reading through some of those posts and support pages, may provide you with the resolution you seek.
Hope you find this helpful.
I just found the Device Settings under Insights and Reports.
