Doesn't Always Have To Be About Business

Hey everyone,

Bit of a different post for me. I'm normally pro business and that is all I generally discuss with people here in WA.

Today, however is different.. Today is my daughters 18th birthday. To be honest it has felt like she has been 18 since she was 14!

So much sass.. Knows what she wants. Has strength in her self and her views / opinions.

Doesn't build her opinions on what others say, will often stand up for whats right, even if that's against what all her peers are doing.

Will not back down on her views but enjoys openly discussing other POV's and can accept them for what they are.. Not hers..

Very proud of her and what she has and will accomplish in the future.

She wanted to be a forensic scientist but since seeing her "rough around the edges", brutish, tattooed dad shift from being paid for his physical abilities, to being paid for his mind, adopting the "work smarter, not harder" mentality, she has begun looking outside the box.

She is a very accomplished writer and is currently working for me in my business, writing articles for my clients and my sites.

She has dreams of being a makeup guru so i want to help her build out a makeup affiliate or ecomm site with the intention of looking into Amazon FBA.

How does this relate to WA?

There will always be people who try to stop you from pursing your dreams. It may be strangers, friends and unfortunately loved ones but we need to take a stand for what we believe in.

You can also change paths as many times as you wish throughout your life. Just because you want one path today, doesn't mean its your destiny and you can't change direction.

We all have opinions. They will be different. The best thing we can do is accept them for what they are.. It's not our job to change others opinions. Just master our own.

Christmas day at my sister inlaws. That't my niece Payton sitting on her "uncle muscles" lap and my daughter when she was 12.

My daughter as a rebellious 14 yo (she wanted to be a tattoo artist here LOL), my 9 yo son and yes, a very bald and beardless me, and yes, that is Nik!

Curry night with the Fam!

14 is the new 18 lol! Having 2 daughters myself who have had all sorts of dreams about jobs they would like to do, I know where you're coming from! All 3 of us are now writers so I think the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree in my family. Happy Birthday to your gorgeous girlie :)

Awesome post, nice. Happy birthday to yr daughter!! I have two daughters myself too. Thanks for sharing, Beau. Lovely family you have and a very beautiful and sweet daughter! :)

Happy birthday to your daughter. Teenagers! I remember when my daughters were that age. There now 47,40, 35 and sometime, I think they still act like teenagers. But all is good. Its great when you can sit back and watch them develop into beautiful young ladies.

They grow up so fast... thank you for sharing, I am sure your daughter will go far. They say the apple doesnt fall far from the tree.

Blessings to you and your beautiful whanau. I cant wait for Christmas to have ALL my three home again, its been along time since we were all together. Precious moments :)

Cheers
Jo

Nice one bud, happy birthday to your daughter. I have 2 daughters in Scotland but they are a wee bit older, 21 and 23 now. I think it's great that you are getting her involved in writing for your sites.

That is awesome Beau a proud moment for your and Nik, such a rewarding feeling looks like your daughter is following in your footsteps, best wishes to you all and have a great family Christmas.like you say it doesn't always have to be about business thank you for sharing.

And, in agreement, work smarter, not harder. It's great that you're teaching her ways to earn recurring income so that she's not wasting her life away working once and getting paid once in a "j.o.b." somewhere. As my mom still says "Less Work, More Money!" Good Job!

Awesome bro.

Thanks for sharing a little insight into your whanau.

Kids grow up so fast, I have 3 teenagers and it only seems like yesterday they were starting school.

I've got my 16 year old on here reading the training and mucking around with a siterubix site. She is an awesome artist I was thinking she could make a portfolio website.

haere

I'm no father, but your daughter is around my age Beau. How is that relevant, I have no idea. But I think its cool she helps you out and all that, and even cooler that you're helping her out. I wish her all the best.

And I refuse to believe that you didn't have the beard since birth, so Imma pretend I never first two pictures.

Cheers for stopping by bud. I know what you saying about the beard lol.. Even the kids disapprove of a beardless me claiming they can't remember me without it.

Wow, DON'T loose the beard haha. You look naked without it. That's awesome your Daughter helps in your business and you can show her the right path to take :) My eldest is only 6...Few years to go yet lol.

hahahaha Cheers big fella.I was a manager for a gym at that time and unfortunately, the ladies I was training didnt want a bearded bloke training them!

Once i was finished with that my wife demanded the beard back again..
