Compelled to Say Diet's Don't Work - EVER!
Sorry to tell you folks but they don't - never have never will.

What compelled me to write this is Kyle's recent post;

He talks about diet in there but his post is about business and I have to agree with him wholeheartedly. Actually it's quite difficult to disagree with Kyle'comments as they always make so much sense. He's a common sense kind of guy.
I've been here for 16 years so have a fair idea of what he has said over the years and his principles have never deviated.
Those same principles have been used in the Wealthyy Affiliate model and look where he is today.
What Kyle says ...
In his Blog he states that success in business comes from one instant in your life - that instant when you decide you want to be successful.
Once that decision is made it is a matter of having belief and sticking to it.
Keep working away, learn as you go along and adapt as necessary. But remain focused at all times and remember that one instant (second) when you decided this is what you wanted and stick with it.
Do what it takes no matter the obstacles.
The Weight Loss Niche
So what has this got to do with diets?
Well it's pretty much the same thing.

I am not overweight, never have been and never will be.
Over the years I have witnessed millions of dollars being spent on this niche. It always strikes me as insane, to be honest, because to me the solution does not lie in a magic pill that burns belly fat or reduces inches around the thighs.
I'm from Africa originally and still have the wide open plains in my blood.
I watch lots of wild-life documentaries and I am always fascinated by animals and their survival.
We were once like that and we are still built the same as we have always been. We're not born to be overweight!
Watch any animal documentary and show me a single animal that is not at it's correct weight at any point in its life.
Sure bears, gorillas, hippos, elephants are all chubby, but for a very good reason - SURVIVAL!
Lions, tigers, antelopes, primates (except gorillas) are all lean and mean for the same reason.
Take them out of their environment and put them in a zoo and they lose condition - IE they get fat.
Or worse confine them in pens or cages and force-feed them for our consumption.
And of course there is the other extreme where they are abused by humans (dog or cock fighting for example) for entertainment!
Humans are very selfish and cruel.
Left to their own devices animals are invariably in supreme condition and, if not, are soon at the mercy of others. All based around survival and keeping a species strong.
Fad Diets
I know many will disagree but all diets are a passing phase in search of that one thing that will solve problems.
Sorry folks it doesn't exist.
I've seen hundreds of diets come and go and daily I hear about people trying to lose weight. Most have been trying to lose weight all their lives and have tried all the diets and pills on the market.
No wonder it is such a lucrative niche.
You will get short term gains from fad diets but if you stick to them you are likely to suffer long term ailments.
I know someone who recently went on a diet (currently very popular) and proudlky kept an Instagram account, daily plotting her progress until ...
She was rushed off to hospital in extreme agony and had her gall bladder removed - a known side effect of this particular diet yet people still go on it.
Talk about insane!
The only way to lose weight, or gain weight if that is your goal, is to change your lifestyle.
Make the decision to change our lifestyle and do what it takes to stick with it.
Just like your business - if you work at it you will achieve success.
Make Money Online and Diets ...
I see so many newbies join WA with one burning desire:
"To make money quickly" - some of them in the belief that it takes little effort.
I know straight away these folk won't make it unless they realize that what is here at WA is everything they need to make a decent living from a long term sustainable business.
If you don't apply yourself and your time and skills diligently and regularly to your business you land up like the bride who buys a dress 2 sizes too small.
To fit into it she goes on a crash diet to look good on the day!
I'm not picking on brides here - just using the scenario as a typical example.
No doubt she'll look stunning (I've certainly never seen an unattractive bride) on her big day but what about a year or two later? Will she still fit into the dress and will she feel good about herself.
Your Business - Your Decision
For 16 years I have been at this game and to be honest I struggled to come to terms with "it" - I just didn't "get it"!
But I knew that it works - hell there is proof around me every day that it works. You have to be living under a rock to not know that people buy online.
My efforts were sporadic, at best, and pathetic at worst.
It's only very recently that I have realized it is possible to write a decent post on a daily basis (although the images still slow me down - for some reason I hate optimizing them).
The results are beginning to appear in my new niche - a niche I've never been in before (and no it is NOT the weight-loss niche, I couldn't in all honesty go into that niche).
Make the decision peeps and work away at it. Stick with it but be flexible and be prepared to apply techniques that have proven to work in the long term.
How you get there is entirely up to you but my guess is it will take continued and applied effort based around that one decision you made - just as Kyle says.
I'm off to have a donut and a diet coke! ;)

I do not like the word diet. For me, I am doing the AIP lifestyle. For me, it is a way of living and eating whole foods. I had to adopt this lifestyle to get well and I am so much better now after six months.

Of course diets don't work, if they did the industry would fade away. Instead, it is a multi billion pound industry that damages and destroys.
The only way to lose weight is get the right mindset, eat only healthy food, drink lots of water and exercise. Walk daily, consume less food, make yourself knowledgeable about what you are putting into your body.
Love yourself enough to care about your health. You don't need diets, you need a healthy lifestyle.
