Keyword, Niche and Market Research

Hey Amber! First, don't be discouraged at all even if you see a much more established site in your same exact niche. There is PLENTY of pie to go around online, trust me. As an example, I'm someone who jumped into the 'make money online' niche through the WA bootcamp when I jumped in. People would tell you that is beyond saturated as every single person out there is trying to make money online. Yet here I am, making consistent commissions. It all boils down to keyword research. Your content will be found because you'll target low competition keywords. When people find you on the first and second page of google they don't care about all the thousands behind you. They click on you, and then they buy. So don't let the illusion of saturation turn you off at all.

There are also TENS OF THOUSANDS of affiliate programs out there. Many people start with Amazon simply because Amazon sells basically everything under the sun. And to answer your question, when you see another site promoting a product you're wanting to promote, that's proof positive that there is in fact an affiliate program for that product or else the site wouldn't be promoting it. You can also discover many other affiliate programs by doing a google search of [your niche] + affiliate programs like Kyle shows in the training.

I don't see being a part of multiple affiliate programs as being a problem at all. Start with one, say Amazon since it's so wide ranging and they accept everyone without a need for traffic, and go from there :)

I think the answer is below. It would be remiss not to constantly test the market regarding products.

Hi Amber,

It's a quite debated question ... And of course, is niche-dependent too ...

In my opinion, you should take any chance to get access to more and better products that can help you to step up and to increase your visibility.

Of course, the "quality" of the given affiliate program/platform is a vital factor. The simple fact that they have some cool products isn't enough ... Each program should be evaluated carefully and individually.

Thanks a lot! I've been doing a lot of research and it may be that i need to just start at 3 and see how it feels and add on to it from there as needed. Just thinking about only 3 period just seems like i may be limiting myself more than I want to.

I agree Amber ...

Personally, I'm affiliated with at least 100 programs and platforms. Maybe even more :)

Great, thanks for sharing. Definitely makes me feel better about the whole thing.

Which makes me feel a lot better :)

I have affiliated to 3 programs, including Amazon.
I think that's a good number per website.

What type of maintenance is required once you become affiliated with a company/program? In what ways does it require time where productivity may be impacted?
