New Year New Me

I started WA back in October and was full steam ahead in the beginning. I have two websites I am still working to establish. One is solely reliant on blog posts while the other requires quite a bit of research an website setup, because each article I write directs back to a product page on my site. I know now that maybe I was a bit too naive when starting this. However, both sites are progressing just not as quickly as they were when I first started.

For my full time job I work as a quality engineer for a manufacturing company. Anyone who has ever worked in manufacturing knows that the end of the year is the busiest and most crucial time for the company. With that said, it has eaten away at a lot of the time I would have used to progress and build up my websites. I long for the day when I'm not stuck having to work a job I don't enjoy just because it pays the bills, but for now it is what it is.

I have decided to pause my training just before getting into the social media content. I did this in order to focus on completing a lot of the background work required for one of my sites. I did not want to continue pushing through additional features until it was in a more stable condition that I was happy with. Also, I found myself becoming more and more tempted to start the WA bootcamp, as that too is on my to do list. However, lessons learned told me not to bite off more than I can chew.

I know that WA will prove it's worth, it just takes time. I also know that because my time is having to be shared by my day job and two young kids, as well as the fact that I chose to startup two websites instead of just focusing on one, that it will take that much longer to see the results.

As the title of my blog states..." New Year = New Me", I am putting my focus back on getting my websites on track. I'm going to start setting goals for myself every week. Call this a resolution if you will, but I am determined to work hard for the future I want. I still have only scratched the surface of what WA has to offer and I am just as motivated as I was on day 1 to dive in.

Happy New Year's to all and best of luck on your endeavors throughout the year!

It is good to "stop at the red light" every now and then. Look both ways and proceed. It keeps you from wasting time going down the wrong path.

Hello Awill, It is really nice to see that you see what you need to change to see results fast. you really need to focus on one site, that way things will be fast and you will see tremendous results soon.

Sounds like you are motivated and ready to go. Slow and steady wins the race. As long as you are moving forward good things will happen.
I hope 2019 is great for you
