I am back!
Welp, here I am, back with a new found motivation. I had kicked off my Wealthy Affiliate Journey back in Oct 2018 when i was just getting back to my normal work after maternity leave. Things were slow to begin with so I had spare time to dedicate to my WA journey. Un fortunately worklife ramped up significantly due to additional responsiblities assigned due to layoffs from budget cuts. I made a siginificant attempt to juggle both WA and my day job but it got to a point where I could only write one post a week, then it was one post every 2 weeks, and eventually 1 post a month. By April for 2019 I had been so swamped with my day job I had no spare time to give to my WA tasks, and with two little ones that also meant my free time after work hours was given to them. I ended up taking a long hiatus from April 2019 up until today. It would have been too easy to just cancel my WA membership, shutdown my sites, and move on. My amazon associates account had already shut down due to lack of sales. It was depressing and sad to imagine all my hard work just thrown down the drain. So I just let things linger for a bit. Strange though I have been seeing more and more page views on my brands FB page and more visits to my site even though I haven't posted anything new since April.
I made it a point this morning to jump back on, update my sites, renew my associates account and refresh all my links in my posts. I already have idea on a new post to write and will continue to write at my own pace. No it may not be the recommended amount to write each week but something is better than nothing and I would love nothing more than for my site to take off and my hardwork and time. It's a fine balance sharing my time between WA and my job that currently pays the bill. I'm striving for the day where I can flip flop that view and give 100% of my time to WA and hence my new career.

Welcome back! It's a new day, a new year, a new decade. The right amount of 'time, or posting, etc.' depends on YOU. and you've said the perfect word, 'recommended'. Everyone has their own pace, and yours is perfect for you.
It's hard to try to balance things like this, and I applaud you for coming back and starting again. I couldn't 'work' a 'real job' and work at my websites.
As long as you keep at it, I believe that you WILL get to that point where this will be your new career! I look forward to seeing your success posts! :)

Thank you so much for your encouragement. I agree and believe I definitely can make this work for me. I also understand it may take more time than normal and I am ok with that. Fortunately, I didn't come into Wealthy Affiliate with the get rich quick mindset so I am ok with chipping away at it at my own pace. If nothing else comes from it I learned a great deal about something I was clueless about and personal growth is a great takeaway too!
