What is the best way to use Site Comments?
Hi, happy WA's family,
You probably haven't missed me but I have been working hard on my two websites for the past month and haven't been posting.
One of the new things that I decided to invest in this year was paying for someone to write content and wow it's been a wild ride and super fun. I had commissioned for 2 x 2000+ and 1x 1000+ articles per week and help with promotion on Quora and he has really been delivering. Also, it has meant I've had someone to immediately explain anything I didn't understand. So I am learning heaps at the coal face.
That aside, I have been working on doing two booster sessions each week for all this content on Site Comments but recently I noticed that I'm lucky if I get one extra comment for all this extra work. Interesting!
Has this been happening to anyone else?
I've tried different time slots (most of you are asleep when I'm working) and received a very mixed bag of horrible cut-and-paste comments (which I had to reject) and then after these rejections barely any extra comments (the gods are punishing me for complaining?)
I would love to hear if this is normal or just that there is a cycle. It won't be stopping me but it is a bit heartbreaking to do high-grade comments on other websites and then not get a few extra in the booster. I thought that was the idea.

I recently requested comments on my article & received a bad one that I had to reject. I then received 2 great comments after. It’s really hit or miss.
Definitely Jenny. I get my bad ones when I ask overnight in other countries. So I try and ask when people are just starting to get up in the US.

I'm just open minded on the comments and except this will take all forms. I always engage within 8 hours and generally they have been great. There is a tendency to expect people to write what you what and they don't nor should they. I just go with the flow - good luck 👍
Good point Phil. I'm really not stressing about it, just learning all I can to make my time productive around a busy home life.
I would really miss this community if I ever left as it is fun to stay in touch while learning and I appreciate every one.

There is an ebb and flow to comments. It seems that some folks have stopped commenting as much because their comments, which apparently have been quite reasonable, have been rejected. I usually ask for comments over 7 days. I have received all my requested comments, I think. Have a good weekend
I have heard that and I really don't like to reject comments but it's only the ones that are gibberish or obviously nothing about my article.
I usually ask for about two a day during the week. It may be a better system.

I can totally relate to this! Everytime I make a site comment to a site, I always read the article first then I also check the comments section and I saw several posts that are copy-pasted (I have seen from other sites) and I even saw comments that were very unrelated, like the first sentence was understandable and the next lines were just long random letters like they've been pressed unintentionally to increase the length of the comment so it can be approved. And I feel sad everytime I see one and hope that the owner didn't approve it. And it also feels disappointing because the commenters are WA members.:(
I know what you mean. I'm sure that they wouldn't like it done to them. All we can do is keep doing our share, these people quickly disappear when they have been rejected a few times.
This is a great service to others on their journey.
