Great work,I'm sure the kids will love it.

Hi Brooklyn

Thank you very much! Kids can be the real deal when it comes to design - they are very honest, which actually makes the perfect client =P.

Kids have a great sense of design. If you give them a sheet of paper they will design something using the whole space. Give an adult the same piece of paper and they'll doodle a little something, leaving most of the space empty.

Betty Edwards, in her book 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain' explains why we lose that sense of design, and why we stop making progress with our drawing skills at around 11 years old.

Best book ever to improve anybodies drawing abilities.
Phil

Thanks for your reply Phil.

I am always totally fascinated what kids create and how people loose their drawing skills. As a kid, almost everyone draws - they don't care if it looks exactly like they wanted it to look - and that's what makes it look so relaxed. Than people start to think that competition is better then they are, so they stop doing it. I never stoped learning and investing in my drawing skills. I had to get worse to get better again, but I never stopped, that's how I got where I am today =)

If I remember from the book she writes at about 11, when a kid is still
drawing like a child and others make fun of that. The kid stops drawing, all progress ends there.

The folks like you and I that have drawn our whole lives felt the need to get better, and we did, by whatever means we had available. I had parents and teachers that provided me with a lot of positive reinforcement.

If you can do that for your readers, I applaud you.
Much success.
