Back in the saddle again.

Hello, WA! I did not realize that that last post I made on August 8th, about not having to start school again this year because I'm retired, would BE the last post in 6 weeks......

But my day job has been extremely busy for me (which pays the bills for me right now), and I have REALLY neglected my WA training and expanding my website: retiredneedingmoremoney.com......

NOW I have to get back in the habit of working on my training / communicating with other WA learners / adding to my website / advertising to others about making $$$ with WA, etc....... SOOOOOOOOOOO

I have to do SOMETHING every day on this site - yes I have said that before! - AND I have WI-FI at my house, so I SHOULD be able to work at home, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO what is stopping me???

I'M SCARED - it has been almost ONE ENTIRE YEAR since I began on Oct. 6th of 2015 on this site, and I am STILL working on my site(s) AND have made ZERO DOLLARS in 12 months.......

I HOPE I'm not the only one who feels this way - I will have to go back to the beginning of my training to make sure that I have not forgotten what I learned last year and this year so far....... PLEASE let me know that I'm not the ONLY one in this fix - that I created for myself, because I let my day job consume all of my time -

Thanks for reading my post!!

Thanks for all of the responses and encouragement to keep plugging away and moving forward - I appreciate everyone using themselves as examples saying THEIR lives got in the way also at one point or another - Good to be back in the saddle again!!

The saddle is always there to remount. It may have been moved further back on the horse, but you can always move it forward and readjust.

Amanda, everything at your own speed! I have made some money but frankly I am stressed at the moment over my in construction house. So I am refusing to add to this by worrying about my website. I am plugging away at it, people say they like it and I like what I write when I manage to do so.

So there, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Now where was did that saying come from.

I have not added anything to my website in a long time. I think I only did a post or two a month ago and nothing for a month and half before that!

I have a full time job for the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources and I am also taking my last course for my Master's Degree right now! So between family and all that I am busy. Oh and I got really sick and probably have an auto-immune condition which is not fully diagnosed yet.

Don't get discouraged though! We all go through this at times! I made sales in July and August when I started posting to Flipboard. Before that, nothing! I know when my course is done and I create new content for my site and add it to my Flipboard magazines I will get traffic and sales again. if you want more details on Flipboard let me know. Once you finally break through it will work! In the meantime don't quit!

I have had several off-line situations that I needed to focus on, which kept me galloping ahead in WA but I still managed to plod ahead.

It is hard to balance everything in life. But, I do feel if we are determined, we will find a way to building our own success. All the best to you.

Hello Amanda, It is not easy to have a day job and to work on developing your site at the same time.I would be probably concentrating on one site. I just had a quick look on your WA/retirement site. Maybe you would like to get some social share buttons so people can share your site on FB, google plus etc. On your About me page I would replace the link to WA with a banner and explain the benefits of WA in more details. You could also put a link in there to your WA review post. Internal linking also improves SEO. Apparently, Google loves it.
One of the successful members here has recommended posting consistently. Even just once a week but every week and I think that is manageable.
I haven't earned a lot of money yet but like you I am chipping away even though it feels hard to get going at times.
Keep up your great work!
Best,
Anke

Amanda,
You are not the only one:) I've also been dealing with work that helps pay the bills (an established business I started over 15 years ago) along with this, have earned very little (around $5 on Amazon) and I'll be coming up on one year in October 28th. I'm staying positive though because I've learned so much over the past year and it's all starting to come together..I knew absolutely nothing about online business before this so I knew it would take me longer than most..Consistency and slow but steady progress is my goal...
Here's to both of our success!
Erica

Amanda

You are not alone.

Creating an online business requires a lot of work and dedication.

I think the public (and spouses) think you throw up a website and the money starts flowing in. They haven't a clue about SEO and Keywords and copywriting and blogging and the list goes on and on.

Stick with it

Percy

Amanda, don't worry, Just keep plugging away.
Barbara

Just stay motivated and keep on pushing forward.
