Lesson Learned

I cancelled my membership with WA a couple of months ago, and I am living to regret it. I have just signed up again and starting all over again.
I couldn't afford the monthly fee, and decided to port my site over to Host Gator. BIG MISTAKE. They never told me that my site was not protected and didn't have any firewall, and my site was hacked.
They tried to upsell me with SiteLock at a cost of $70 USD per month to scan and fix the site, and if I cancel after the site was fixed, they would charge me a huge cancellation fee.
I am at my wits end and hoping that I could bring my site back to WA and that someone here can fix it for me.
Any advice?

So glad to have you back Amy. Lesson learned indeed. But your back and have access to all the features and benefits of this amazing platform.
I agree with comments below. You should definitely start with Site Support. I'm fairly certain you would be helped if you site was being hosted here.
Was your site initially being hosted here before you went to Host Gator? If it was Site Support may be able to retrieve your site from your last daily backup here. This will not include the work you did on it over at Host Gator. But at least it will be clean (no hacker code).
