My First Earnings on Amazon
Hi all,
Amidst the corona scare, lockdown, quarantine and all that, I am so thrilled to earn my first commission on Amazon. Exactly twenty days after adding my Amazon affiliate links and banners, I had a total of 211 clicks, 2 items ordered and two items shipped.
Unfortunately, my conversion rate is very low and one of the items was returned so I ended up with only $0.79 in commissions. Surprisingly though, the item from which I earned this small amount was not even what I recommended.
As Kyle said in the training, people may not necessarily buy the products or items we recommended or reviewed but there is a big chance they will end up buying something else.
I just wish I had partnered with Amazon as soon as I had enough content on my site. I had my eyes on another affiliate company that I kept putting off trying out Amazon. So I’m glad I finally did!
My goal is to increase my conversion rate by heeding Jessica’s (Swangirl) advice which is to write review posts on the things that people are searching for. Here’s the post in case you missed it.

Supermarkets, newspaper shops and the pharmacy are open most of the rest is closed. Police are picking up walking and jogging people from the promenade and send them home.
We do our weekly shopping and for the rest, we stay home. Enjoying the spring in the garden, sit in the sun and eat loads of oranges. Stay safe.

Sounds a lot like the situation in my homeland (Philippines). Just spoke to my mom over the phone and said the lock down could last for six months. Oh no!
I really hope things will get better soon and that everything will be back to normal.
