The biggest mistake I made in 2018 was letting my blog go. For close to four months (from April to August), I did not make a single blog post. I let life get in the way. Looking back on it now, I am 'V8ing' myself on the head for doing so. What was I thinking!?! I feel so much regret for that time. If I had stuck with my blog and posted on a regular basis, I would not have gotten any penalties from Google. Traffic might have stagnated but it would not have dropped like you see in the picture be

After starting my blog in October 2017, one of the key mistakes I made was going four months without posting. So far, I have really taken it in the rear for the mistake. I won't let that ever happen again. For whoever reads this, take it as a warning. Always keep at your site. Keep moving forward no matter what happens. With that in mind, I have been struggling a bit. I took three upper division courses this past quarter at UC Santa Cruz and it was quite rigorous, but I adapted and worked throu

I took a big step today. I moved into my first real place. The room is offset from the house. It comes with a kitchenette and plenty of closet space. For a tough rental market in Santa Cruz, it is a dream come true. It is also quite inexpensive for the price they could be charging. I am really glad to have gotten it. I am very fortunate. The only concern I have is that I feel a little lonely. I have a nice big place to myself, but I wish I had roommates to talk to. It is okay though. I will tal

I just got a notificiation from MPOWERD on my Facebook page, My Camping and Hiking Tips. They are a company that makes outdoor solar lanterns. They really enjoyed my article and gave me a shoutout. I posted on my Facebook Page and tweeted the article, so I guess they must have seen it on one of the two platforms. I think I am on the right track you all!It is very unexpected. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you in advance for reading this short blog post and I hope you make it a great day!

In the past, I have written blog posts on Wealthy Affiliate though not to the extent I plan to do with these "Self Reflection" posts. With these, I want to be very honest, hiding nothing about my successes and failures. If you cannot be honest with yourself, you cannot grow and realize your dreams. To be honest with you, like my self reflection posts or love them, I am doing this to help myself. I need it. If it helps you, I am glad. In the past 6 months or so, my ethusiasm for my site waned. I

Time really flies man. I have been here at Wealthy Affiliate for 6 months! Since I got the notification, it is time to reflect on what has happened so far.The best thing to happen was my first commission. I discussed it in more detail in my last blog post. In short though, a wealthy affliate member named Rick (Belden22) bought a product through my site and I got a comission. He is a testament to the supportive nature of this community. You have more friends at WA than you realize. My past quart

Hey Everyone!I just earned my first $1.50 through my Amazon! I am really happy to say the least. While it is a modest start, I hope to earn much more in the future. To anyone who doubts this system, you have to keep at it. Like making a diamond, it takes time and pressure to create something like a successful affiliate website. I have not even been here 6 months, only since October 2017.Unfortunately, during my Winter Quarter at UC Santa Cruz, I slacked off on my website, going for weeks withou

Hello Everyone,I just joined the Top 200! Woo hoo! I used to wrestle and we would be ranked, so I understand, at the end of the day, rankings don't mean anything without results. So I thought I would share the fruits of my labor.I have been pumping out 3 articles a week and my efforts have paid off since starting My Camping and Hiking Tips on October 14. The trust of search engines has gone up to 10%, a big gain from where it was. Also, in the last 7 days, I have done well with visitors. Most o

Hello All,I first joined Wealthy Affiliate on October 15. Since then, I have learned valuable lessons and tools from this community. Even though I am juggling university and the creation of a website, I have had a great time here. I have created six articles and I expect to create many more in the future.Unlike many other ways to make money online, I appreciate that the community is active, vibrant, and dynamic. People here help each other and there is a lesson plan to follow. Most other websit
