Progress at Wealthy Affiliate

Hello Everyone,

I just joined the Top 200! Woo hoo! I used to wrestle and we would be ranked, so I understand, at the end of the day, rankings don't mean anything without results. So I thought I would share the fruits of my labor.

I have been pumping out 3 articles a week and my efforts have paid off since starting My Camping and Hiking Tips on October 14. The trust of search engines has gone up to 10%, a big gain from where it was.

Also, in the last 7 days, I have done well with visitors. Most of them are from WA and leaving comments. But still, it is reassuring. People are coming to the site. With time, more visitors will come.

Another good thing is the amount of comments I have been getting. I have been averaging 5 comments per article, but I want to increase that to 10, so I can rank higher in search engines.

I googled some of my keywords and one of them popped up at number 7! "Ever gone camping alone" is on the front page of Google. That is very heartwarming to me.

On top of that, my social media presence is growing. I have set up a pinterest, google plus, Facebook page, and twitter for the site. I have 70 likes on my Facebook page, 207 Google Plus followers with numerous +1's, 36 Pinterest followers, and 48 Twitter followers. These will also take time to grow.

On occassion, the slow pace of growth can be excruciating. I understand, though, that it is part of the process. This is a 6 month to a year long project before I start to see any reasonable cash flow. I have not made a cent from the site, but I am patient.

All in all, it is much better considering where I was before. If any of you have any recommendations for growing it further and faster, I would appreciate it. Otherwise, do get disgruntled. It just takes patience and persistence. Good luck with your site!
