Hello WA Friends

Hope you are all doing well, and working tirelessly on making your website a success.

When I started here nine months ago, I used to read other member's posts about how to rank your freshly published post and think this could never be me.

Without any previous experience in SEO, I thought it would take years for me to learn how to make Google notice my posts and rank them high.

So, if you have just started out and are having similar thoughts, let me put your concerns at rest.

How?

By showing you: For example, yesterday, my post was ranked very soon after being published (I'll explain the whole process in the next paragraphs).

And not only ranked, but ranked high. Page 1, #1, actually. Yeeey! I was so happy.

Not the least, because the people I am 'competing' with are established members of WA who know their stuff and whom I look up to with respect.

The post was published yesterday, 27.01.2019. at 13.26, which means that my post was ranked only some hours after it was published.

Here are some screenshots, and if you'd like to read about my the process of what I do to rank my posts high, please scroll down. :)

How to Do SEO For Your
Website Blog Posts

WRITE GOOD CONTENT

First of all write a good post. Write a long post. Only 500 words is not going to cut it.

What is the best length for blog posts?

Try 1.500 or more and you'll see immediate improvement in your rankings.

My posts are often just under 1.500 words and that still works OK.

However, the more info you give to your reader, the more love your are going to get from Google.

Make your paragraphs short.

Make your sentences short.

Make the important parts of your post bold.

Use H1 tag for the main title, H2 and H3 for paragraph titles and important parts of the post.

Make sure your grammar and spelling are OK. Install Grammarly (especially if English is not your first language).

note: this is not an affiliate link to Grammarly

MAKE JAAXY YOUR BEST FRIEND (because it is!)

Do your keyword research.

You can get some amazing low hanging fruit keywords that will bring you FREE traffic and profits in shorter time than you think.

Use keywords that have over 50 searches and QSR under 100 (this, of course, can vary a bit up or down but this is a good rule to follow). Easy.

Note for those who are just starting out: You can get into more complex analysis of your keyword research latter in your training, but for now, this is really just fine and will make your posts easy to rank and easy to find in search engines.

15 Things I Do to Make My Posts SEO Friendly:

1. Chose Your Keyword - one per post is enough (search volume over 50, QSR under 100)

2. Try Not to Write a Boring Headline - give someone a reason to click on your link (I'm still struggling with this one, but am learning with each post...)

3. Include the Keyword in the Headline

4. Write a Good Meta Description

5. Add Your Keyword in Meta Description

6. Shorten Your Perma-link to just the domain and the keyword

7. MENTION YOUR KEYWORD IN:

a) In the First H1 Title

b) The First Paragraph

c) The Last Paragraph

d) If you need to mention it more, do, just make sure it doesn't sound like keyword stuffing

8. UPDATE: Interlink you post with other relevant posts on your site

9. UPDATE: Link your post to bigger authority sites

10. Add Images

11. Write ALT descriptions on what is on the picture. This is the description for the visually impaired people and not only it is good for your post's SEO but it's a decent thing to do :)

12. Submit Your Post to Fetch as Google to be Indexed Faster

13. Make Sure Your Website/Post is Mobile Friendly

14. UPDATE : Request Comments (comments count as content)

15. UPDATE : Answer ALL Comments and include relevant links in your answers

Before I sign off, I have to mention that all of this is just a repetition of what I have learned from:

1.Kyle's training

2. Jay's webinar 21 Minute Ranking Method in 7 Steps

Thank you for reading this post, and if you have any more tips on how to improve the SEO, please let us know! :)

Have a great and a productive day everyone!

Hey Alenka.
First of all, thanks for the article I really enjoyed reading it.
You have really succeeded to make this article easy to read and understand and im sure this is how you are able to make your posts rank so fast.

Just one question from me,
What do you mean when you say "Submit Your Post to Fetch as Google to be Indexed Faster"
How do you do this?

Hi
You are welcome and glad you enjoyed my article.
I will create a short tutorial on how to Fetch as Google in a few minutes and will send you the link :)

I would highly appreciate it :)

Thanks!
You are doing an amazing work!

Thank you and you are very welcome :)

Thanks for the post, I got some value from this post that I can take with me on the journey.

I'm really glad and the best of luck with your online journey :)

Thank you for this post, I feel as though I may have missed a lot of this if it’s part of Kyles training? Considering redoing the training to ensure it’s really sunk in :)

Hi
I think if you'd like to revisit the training, maybe the easiest thing would be to just watch Jay's webinar. He outlines everything you need to know about seo, and there are other webinars that deal with keywords and similar as well.
Let me know if you need any help. :)

Thank you, I might just do that! I don’t remember learning about perma links or google fetch and have been having some issues with google indexing but being that it’s only my 2nd week I am feeling like it’s all a little over my head... that or I have crammed too much or missed stuff amongst trying to train and look after my kids haha

Hi Alenka, thank you so much.
This is a wonderful post, I have saved the link & I will check it out.
I am also going to go & review my posts to see that I haven't left anything out.
Cheers!

Great! You are welcome :) Best of luck with your site :)

Bookmarked! Definitely bookmarked.

Amazing post.

I am definitely going to use this step by step on EVERY post I publish.

Thanks for sharing.

Tom

Hi Tom
Really glad you are going to implement these tips - they really work.
My site is not even six months old and I've had posts ranking in the 1st position after a couple of months (and I'm sure it can be done even sooner). And all of this in a super competitive MMO niche.
WA training truly rocks :)

Best,
Alenka

Thanks Alenka for a great post. I’ll bookmark this for sure and refer to it when I write a post. I’ve been worki g at this for about 6 months so you are giving me hope.

Great work!

Marie-Lou

Hi Marie-Lou

Yes, if you use this list you really shouldn't have any problems in ranking your posts.
Of course, one has to write a good content first, but I guess that is a given.
Best of luck!
Alenka
