when I click "You can find your XML Sitemap here "button

I get Oops! That page can’t be found.

In the address bar it says

I finally got it to work by disabling and then enabling XML Sitemaps. That seems to be the answer to a lot of tech problems LOL

I have been having trouble with no visual editor in wordpress all day? My visual editor has gone and been replaced with html and there is no way to switch it back, beleive me I

Thanks for your replies Guys problem sorted now I flushed the DNS Cache and the visual editor option came back

I had the 'Disappearing Visual Editor' problem yesterday. I found a solution but not the cause.

Several members suggested changing the browser which I did, but it didn't help. Another suggested changing Internet Supplier, stating that when they had taken their lap-top to a friend's house, it worked, but stopped working when he logged back into his home Internet Supplier.

I lost all internet connections last weekend because of the router overheating. I have a stand-by connection in the form of a USB dongle which operates on a totally different system. When I changed to the dongle, my Visual Editor magically re-appeared. So I am certain that it is an Internet Supplier problem and not something that I have done on my local system.

Last night, when I packed up, I put the lap-top into sleep mode (re-connected to my usual wi-fi system). This morning, Wordpress including the Visual Editor, was back to normal.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Ian Campbell

Hi I had this problem a couple of weeks ago. Most answers suggested clearing the browser and flushing the DNS cache. Then I noticed at the bottom of my editor it said I was using a developmental version of Wordpress and that I should keep updated. I hadn't noticed that! Sure enough there was an update signal in the Dashboard . the update cured it. Hope this helps.

changed my theme from state to state to omega and now the web page editing is in HTLM will i have to change back?

Usually when there is no visual editor you need to clear your DNS cache. It has happened to me several times.

Thank you Phar47! clearering the DNS Cache worked for me

No problem. Happy to be of service.

There still should be a visual editor. I used the Omega theme before and there was always a visual editor. Can you send us a screen shot of what you are seeing?

gone back to old theme but still no visual editor

Change it back and still no visual editor, can anyone help please?

You may find your answer here:

There should be a button where you can change it to the "visual editor".

I have looked everywhere can't find it, if i can't find a way to change to visual editor ( I have tried googling it as well) I will have to change back, a shame because I like omega look
