Is anyone having problems with wordpress?

Thank you Kathy....it was driving me insane! Now my problem is that I have put it under a category, and when I go to menu to add it to my drop menu, the category doesn't appear. It's just not my day lol
To see the categories so you can add them to the menu. Go to Appearance - Menus. Look to the top right and you'll see a drop-down "screen options", in there make sure categories is ticked. Now you should be able to see them on the left to add to your menu. :)
Hi Kathy,
Thank you so much for taking the time. I solved the problem...I knew how to, it was just not showing up. I logged out, and tried again, and it worked...

I've been trying to ad AdSense ads to my site, and the only way I seem to be able to do it is manually. I want the ads to appear on my sidebar, and so far the plug in I added,
Jovo is right, what doesn't work? There's no reason why it shouldn't, I have them in sidebars for 2 sites.
I don't understand why....it seems very simple, and I've followed the instructions and all seems fine. I go to my page, and nothing happens. I've tried to add the text widget everywhere....Side bar, footer...very frustrating.
Ah right. Sometimes it take a while for Adsense to put the ad in once you've added the code so it looks as if it hasn't worked. If you try it again then give me your url I'll check it for you.
My url is weightlosswithalma.com.....I do have adsense ads already with the codes I added manually though.
I can see an ad here http://weightlosswithalma.com/category/super-foods
I don't see in the side widget though.
I know....that's what I've been trying to do. I've dragged the text widget with the code right under my Meta widget, it appears as if all is fine, but once I go back to the page....Nothing!
What theme are you using? I'll put it on my test site and add my ad code and see what happens.
I'm using Tiny Forge...It serves my site just great. I've tried others but this one is perfect for my content except for that little problem...
I went to the widget area and clicked "text" from the left hand side and chose main sidebar for the placement. I copied my adsense code and and put sponsored as a title, it worked fine. Here's a screenshot. http://screencast.com/t/2hKcc8cexrT
You might not see an ad straight away, mine is populated because I'm been approved for a while.
Is this how you did it? I saw that there was a text widget already in the main sidebar, I didn't use that one.
That's what I did except for the title as the video said not to add a title....I will try that now.
Kathy, Kathy, it worked!!!!!!!!! Thank you, thank you thank you! Now I can move on....next other ads lol
I made a custom footer and put AdSense in it.
This can be found under widgets. Drag and drop the "text' widget into the footer column (on the right of the page) then paste your AdSense HTML code into the widget.
Note that no matter what you use you will not see your ad for awhile as Google does stuff in the background.
ROCK ON!

A friend of mine offered to translate my page to German, but I don't know how to do a "Change language" menu....
You could create a page "languages" and then link to the main page of your site in whatever language allowing navigation to go from there. I think the plug-in is a good option, though the translation may not be quite as accurate.
How to do a language drop down menu?
