Life can really suck sometimes!
Over the past few weeks, I've literally gotten nowhere. I've actually gone backwards..
About 3 weeks ago I had a heap of bills come rolling in.. just the usual.. mortgage, house insurance, rates etc etc. That alone came to about 3 grand.. then on top of that, our septic trench decided that it had had enough shit (literally) and we had to pay a plumber to dig it all up and replace the trench, There goes another $2000. Then on top of that, I go to bed the other night and the TV in our room decided to chuck in the towel. Still haven't replaced that... much to my wife's dismay.
In about three weeks I have to travel away from home to attend a 4 week course for work which is going to cost me another heap of money.. they are paying for my accommodation.. thank god, but I have to foot the rest (travel and food). By the way this is all money that we just don't have.
How the hell do you pay for stuff when you haven't got the money.. I'm starting to feel depression kicking in again... big-time.
On top of all this I've had to work heaps of overtime at work to try and bring in some money to pay for all this crap, so I've had no time to do much online. I started my personal blog and have only been able to write one lousy post.
With the stress and desperation for money at the moment, every-time I do get a chance to sit down at the computer to do some work on my blog, my mind is just blank. All I can think about is how I'm going to pay for everything and that I need money now and not in a years time.
I've had to hit the oldies up to borrow some cash to get us through (which I hate doing). The money still needs to get paid back.
My biggest problem is that I so badly want to change my life, but I keep sinking deeper and deeper into this huge ass rut. Not getting anywhere. Life sucks at the moment.
I just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel... I've thought about selling the house and getting out of debt so I can sleep a little easier, but Krys(my wife) isn't too keen on the idea. I'm sick and tired of worrying about money. I need some help, I just don't know where to turn or what to do anymore. All this is affecting my productivity online.
I know making it online isn't going to happen overnight, and i don't expect it to. But its getting to the point now where if I don't do the overtime at work, and come home to do some work online, Krys is like "babe...we need money now.. not later."
What do you do....??? Life can really suck sometimes
If you read all of this I'd just like to say sorry for having a big sob and taking up your valuable time.. Like I said, I needed to get this off my chest.

Hi, I can be difficult when times get tough. You are trying to get through this rough time. It seems that when a small thing happens, then the roof falls in. You are taking the right steps. Here is a suggestion: I would plan a budget for your family. Determine the times when large bills come due. Try to plan on placing that portion of the budget into a savings account, so when that bill comes due, the money is there to pay it. Hopefully, no emergencies will pop up in the meantime. Also, plan on putting something aside into an emergency fund if possible. Also, during this period of high expenses, see if there is an area where you can cut back without hurting the families living. I teach budgeting in our church so, I hope I did not offend you. I am just trying to give you some ideas during your difficult situation you are experiencing now. Good luck!
Sorry to hear about your struggles. Times are really tough right now for many of us, and all you can do is keep plodding along and trying your best to make it work. It definitely sucks when everything seems to happen at once too, I know that feeling.
I hope things turn around for you and you start seeing brighter days. Hang in there.
Hi, I feel your pain. I guess I would really follow Slaytons advice as far as working online. Make enough to cover your online expenses so these are not coming out of the house budget. Do you have a laptop you can take with you on your trip to work on this? Cover the internet charges and WA charges first, then work from there. You will hone your writing skills and make money doing it and also learn valuable experience in blogging. I hope this helps a bit. Also check out article writing for hire.
When an Avalanche hits you - you have to dedicate your time to survival and find your way out of all the mess and lifes distractions. The key is to focus on the little distractiions and get them out the way first. From a financial point of view you have taken the first step by borrowing money from your parents. It might not be the best step but it is a step in the right direction (I'm sure your parents will be ok until you pay them back).I think the next hurdle is to complete your 4 week course for work - there must be a valid reason as to why you have to commit to this course - more knowledge - possible increase in earning potential.
Just make the time - your time to continue your passion ie Affiliate Marketing. If it means taking time out and away from Affiliate Marketing - then so be it - It's not going to run away from you - It will always be there including all the help you need from the Forum - Colin
Try guest blogging. You can make money immediately from them. It won't be a whole lot though and you'll have to work pretty hard for somebody else's blog to make around $50 a post though. They want highly detailed and informative information usually over new topics not discussed yet. Try not to lean on I.M. much though. I think it should be more oriented towards being an enjoyable thing to do starting out, and then later it becomes more of a serious thing once success comes your way.

You might be able to find some work on odesk.com. It has a lot of jobs that are related to what you are doing. You would be able to get paid to work and at the same time improve your skills.
Just the fact that you have a blog up and you have a post on it is a success in and of itself. It's easy to get discouraged when we aren't moving as fast as we would like in our business, but it's the small things over time that add up.
It's definitely a hard choice. If you do need the money I would tend to opt for the overtime at work since you know you will get the immediate money. Then fit in the internet marketing when you have time. Just take it step by step and don't beat yourself up if you think you're not where you should be.
