Joining North and South.

The 30th of April is a national holiday in Vietnam.

If April 30th falls on a weekend, the following weekday will be designated as a public holiday.

It is also known as Victory Day or Liberation Day in Vietnamese and is called 'Ngày Thong nhat'. The day has been dubbed "Saigon Fall" by some Vietnamese.

It commemorates the seizure of Saigon by Viet Cong and North Vietnamese troops on April 30, 1975, marking the end of the Saigon administration (now Ho Chi Minh City).

This marked the conclusion of the Vietnam War and the start of the process of unification between the North and the South.

On July 2nd, 1976, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was formed, finally bringing the country together.

Change is one of the consistent things we can expect in life. And sometimes the outcomes of this change can benefit others and orselves.

I do not want to go into the emotionally charged topic of war or the politically fragmented views of the why, how, and whats of this very sad time.

However out of some of the worst events in history, beautiful futures can be born.

Even with the joining of the country a lot of problems remained, but like anything,, to achieve greatness ( Just like your business) takes hard work, dedication and time.

Moving Forward.

Vietnam is a very youthful country with about 50% of its close on 100 million population under the age of 25 and 27% of its population between 12 and 24. And the youth in Vietnam today are more educated, healthier, and more optimistic than ever before.

The 70's are ancient history as sad as that may be. ( In fact history has just been taken off the curriculum for high school students in Vietnam).

Good or bad, like it or not Vietnam is moving forward and you will not see Water Buffalo walking down the streets of towns or cities like you might have seen 15 years ago. (Just)

And just like in WA, there may be some things we don't like as much as we might have before ( classic editor / Block editor) but we MUST keep on striving towards the future.

Some of us might be dealing with physical or emotional issues, but we MUST keep moving forward. We may be dealing with family problems, but we MUST keep writing and vlogging.

Visualize your future and go for it. Remember why we started and keep moving forward.

A Popular Holiday.

This is a popular holiday because it falls the day before Labor Day, giving us a pleasant two-day break.

Many people take advantage of the longer break to reconnect with their relatives. Banks and government offices will be closed, while the majority of businesses will stay open. Tourist attractions are normally busier at this time, but we are still opening up from our Covid captivity.

But it is nice to see the thaw happening.

Parades will be held and the Vietnamese flag will be waved triumphantly across the country. We have a flag, like our neighbors hanging next to the gate. Because we are pleased and proud what we have achieved just like everyone else.

And we all need to be able to experience joy and smile at our triumphs and look forward to our continued successes. Just don't give up. We have all the resources and people willing to help with advice and encouragement.

So whether you live in the North, the South the West or the East, we can come together and be successful. Just keep on writing.
