The Millionaire Mindset

In this blog, I'm going to tell you my ideas about what makes someone successful online compared to those who are not.

I have a friend in Australia who is a multi-millionaire, and most of this came from him

We all have different skills and abilities so what makes someone a success?

I have spent the last month looking at extremely successful people and seeing if any common traits stand out.

And after talking with my mate in Oz, I wrote this for me and anyone else who wants to learn.

So let's have a look.

I have heard a lot about manifesting what you want and there are some good ideas in there, in my opinion, but is that all? Basically, NO.

Manifesting is like dreaming about what you want, like the old dream boards we made. I want this and this and…etc.

But from what I see most people make mistakes about their dream, and when I ask someone “What is your dream, what do you want for your future?” They typically give you a half-baked answer. They'll say something like, hey, I don't need a lot or I just wanna be comfortable If you say hey yeah, I wanna be rich. How rich? How much money do you wanna have in cash? How much do you wanna have in real estate?

Be Exact/ Step 1

You need a very clear and visceral plan to turn your dreams into reality. When you think about a dream. The biggest challenge is that it's overwhelming to try and tackle what that looks like. So instead what I have found that it's a lot more manageable and a lot more attainable is thinking about what the dream day looks like. Starting with what time do you go to bed? What time do you wake up? How do you spend and structure your day? Have a crystal clear goal and an outcome of where you're trying to go.

What time do you start work? What projects are you working on? How do you prioritize them? And who is the team (Or yourself) that you're every day gonna be working with everyday to turn these projects into a reality?

Flesh out what it is that you are going for.

Have you ever met a successful person in whatever field it is that they chose? And you're like, hey, how did you get this success? How did you achieve this goal? And they're like, oh, I don't know, I kind of just stumbled into it like I didn't really have a plan.

The people that I have met who are really successful in whatever their chosen field Is, they had a very detailed plan of exactly how to get there.

I used to work with a multi-millionaire in Australia and he was a great guy. We used to go out for a few beers and dinner etc and he was a very approachable person, and he told me that his first years were all planned out to a lot. He knew exactly what he wanted and he had written out his goals and daily activities in detail. So that is step 1.

Now time for step #2

Which is to extend your time horizons. Society is plagued with a disease that is instant gratification. What you wanna do is dream in years, set goals in quarters, plan in months, and evaluate. And execute daily. All success is linked to your ability to delay gratification.

When I started my first business I sat put the blinkers on and went deep into work mode. I did not come up for air for three years and then I realized I was making good money and could start managing my business, not just work in it.

And the first person you have to sell to is yourself.

It is war. You're going in intensely for a very long time. Have you ever seen people walking on coals, some can do it and some can’t. Most of it is just “mental” controlling what you think.

That is the fire that you must cross to make your dreams a reality. And that's the fire that burns most people. And they're like, hey, this is too difficult. Let me deviate from this and let me go and do something a lot easier.

Running any business is tough and it is the person who can stand up to the heat and walk the walk, who will make it. This is where most people will stop and say, this is too hard I will try something else. Then they will do exactly the same in the next job they do and wonder why they were never successful.

Number three, brainwash yourself to make millions.

Why so big? A million dollars is no harder than making a thousand dollars. It is just scale and how YOU think.

Even if you have a very clear vision of exactly what and where you want to go, and you extend your time horizons on what it's gonna take to get there, it's. It is still going to be as hard as ****.

And there's gonna be many, many days that you feel like quitting. What I have found is the best way to get clear on your why is to not think about yourself, To not be selfish about what it is that you need to satiate your immediate demands. But think about all of the people who rely on all the things that could happen. In your life. Maybe a friend or family member that's gonna come to you and need help.

Maybe you would love to retire your parents or your spouse or to pay off your sisters or brother's mortgage. That is the carrot that helps you chase your goal.

The lifestyle that you're trying to create for the people who rely on you, and also all the things that you don't want to happen, like ending up in the poor house or on the street. And it's where those two meet that should set your soul on fire.

This brings us to step 4.

Which is leveling up your character, is your current version of yourself capable of going out and making all of these dreams and turning them into a reality? If so, then you would have already done it.

The reason is, is the current version of yourself isn't capable of making those dreams a reality. Because getting stuck in what you're currently doing and the current limitations of your behavior, your attitudes, your beliefs and everything that it is you. And you need to change.

Look at all the top flyers in the world at the moment, I will choose just 1. Jeff Bezos. Look at a picture of him when he first started Amazon, the book store, and look at him now. He has physically changed from a nerd to someone who is a lot fitter and "photogenic".

What is holding you back from making this your reality? You need to think about the character and the traits that you have as an individual and think about what other types of traits you would need to have to make these dreams a reality. What would that person look like? How focused would they be? What would they be working on? What are the standards that they would demand of themselves and how is that different from who you are now?

Which brings us to step #5.

Manage your energy and not your time.

One of the deadliest pitfalls that I see around productivity that people fall into is that they think that all time is created equal.

An hour in the morning is not equivalent to an hour in the evening. This is completely unsustainable. To think that you could just get up and work 12 hours a day and it's gonna be the same level of output is insane.

Human beings aren't some type of supercomputers where you're just built to run at really high speed and capacity for long periods.

Look at the tasks that you've got to do and think about how are you gonna break up your day and your week so you can play this game for a long time. Burning out is a reality for most because entrepreneurship is a long-distance run. It is a long game. Most people see their success in the latter years of their life and it's because all the skills and all the knowledge that you acquire it compounds over time. Tasks that are gonna be the most time intensive and taking up the most mental RAM and dedicating that for whatever that time is.

Get up early, and use your morning time. Your 5 am to 7 am times when everyone else is still in bed is precious. Most high achievers are early risers and workers.

Do your hard yards in the morning when you are fresh and get on top of the day. You can then do the lesser tasks later in the day when your energy levels are waning. Work the energy and not the time.

And this brings us to step number six,

Which is the final point to kill the little ***** inside. Even after you've done all of this to make your dreams a reality, there is always gonna be this little nagging voice in your mind that I call the little *****. That little ***** is always trying to pull out your heels and tell you to do things that aren't conducive or supporting you in turning your dreams into reality. Once you get some success, it's gonna turn into this little broke dude that lives in your head and then tries to hold you back.

It's gonna tell you how to spend this money and invest in yourself. You shouldn't be hiring this cleaner. You shouldn't be paying for this convenience. You shouldn't be hiring this person. That is unreasonable. That's expensive. That's a waste of money. That is what rich people do. Yeah, no ****. And that's what it is that we're trying to do.

Once you have some money coming through one of the best ways to invest is to invest in your business, and build your team. They will make more than if you just do it yourself.

To Our Future.
