The Hebrew Alef-Beth

Or do you prefer Alfabet?

This comes actaully from the Hebrew Root Aleph-Beth, passed on through the Greek version Alfa-Beta to the version we know now.

From A to Z?

here begin the problems, In our alfabet the Z is our last letter, in Greek it is Omega, and in Hebrew it is Tav. Cultural differences are on the origin of it. One of my pages on my site goes a little deeper into this matter.

http://torahlovers.siterubix.com/discovering-th…ebrew-alphabet is under construction, but the first three letters are already on it. It is impossible to create all at once, time is too short.

Development of my site

The good thing about it is that the website is continually growing, and I hope to develope it into the future to a real learning site.

not that different from Pashto.

It looks a little bit like the Greek alphabet, but then different...

Very interesting!

The top one is easier for me and probably this is why it seems more comfortable,, however the use of the symbols looks cool

Interesting, but I don't see the "Tav" on the picture

On the bottom line with the value 400. Some dialect changes vowels

Oke the Tuf ?

Exactly. More info about Aleph Tav follow in a private message.

Great for sharing dear. Others though might feel it is not related to our business environment around here. stuff like this and the torah, rather share as pvt message. It is just a suggestion. We sometimes get carried away from sharing things regarding our business. I think we need to keep in mind. One of the things in the starter stage, it was mentioned we should not talk about religion etc within Wa. Just thought to remind you. I sometime get carried away too. But what I do is, think it this is the right thing to share if not I don't. people might not bother to read or comment on stuff that is not at all related to Wa and the business. I have seen another example today. And no one commented so I dropped a comment to let them know.

Hope this will help a bit

Thanks for your comment, but the Hebrew language of today is also used in a non religious way in Israël. One can consider this topic pure linguïstic. Even McDonald's is written in Hebrew in Tel-Aviv.

Yes I know every letter has a numeric value. It is very interesting. You are welcome
