How I answered Steve's (I've tried that) question.

Steve (I've Tried That) asked me how I was doing now that I'm in my second week and I was going to give him a short answer about finding my niche and by the time I finished, It all came together. I learned that sometimes actually typing words can open up your mind to new possibilities. Here's what I ended up replying to Steve.

Thanks Steve, just picking and poking it'll all gel together when the time is right. Each time I think I've chosen my niche I either don't feel knowledgeable enough or that I would run out of fresh content. So I have three written down so far and when new ones stop coming to mind, I guess I'll have to choose. But it's sure got me thinking about it and noticing what kinds of things I enjoy doing, seeing, or thinking about that I didn't realize how enjoyable they were until now. So far the power of positive thinking, (sounds familiar ha), Motivational tips and/or sayings (possible products as well). Gambling betting systems (many standard ones that seems almost cliche. but have been making up ones of my own by trying this or that bet variation and constantly improving. The theory of probablilities to some extent)

The betting systems one is my passion as I can sit and play blackjack or roulette for long periods of time. I once, after I retired, actually lived at a casino in Gary, Indiana for about a month making some money everyday and living off the comps for room and great meals etc. But somehow I'm not sure I want to actually pursue that one because, though I can show people how to make $500 last a long time with a couple of my systems, the explanations of how they work or how to use them are difficult to explain. The explanation of one could fill pages and pages of text and most people wouldn't be able to read through it all and see how to use it. Maybe a book idea sometime as every time I get a book on gambling from the library (I'm always hoping to find something that will trigger new thoughts) they all are pretty much the same books with different arrangement of words. The history, the systems that have been tried, etc. Much like you, Kyle, and Carson have obviously made very complicated stuff relatively easy for people without a lot of computer skills. That's the hard part about it. So even though I may not be sitting at the computer for hours at a time wading through the technical stuff like I did the first week, I'm continuing to explore the direction I want to go. So that's where I'm at right now and putting this all down in words has helped me a lot I think, whether you have the stamina required to read all of this or not. My thanks to you and your very helpful blogs.

The interesting thing to me, is that after this lengthy answer to Steve's question my real favorite niche and the way to tie it into a website with fresh content every day, as well as a product of my very own making solidified into a complete plan of just how to do it.

As a result, I plan to every day write my thoughts on something in perhaps a journal or even just on word pad page that I might save or delete when finished. I found that just writing slows my mind down to the pace of how fast I can type the words and allows my subconscious mind to explore ideas as I write.

Wishing everyone here at WA a happy and prosperous future,

Mike (woogle)

Sound Like youre able to make any niche work

That's what they say and I'm beginning to believe it :)

A very informative Blog, especially if one is into gambling. You should do well on a website or writing a book/journal. Good luck to you & may you prosper as well.

Thanks, same to you too :)

Lots of nuggets in this post Mike. 1) Writing definitely gets the creative juices flowing. Writing is ACTION. 2) I don't know if the gambling idea is what you decided to pursue, but I like it a lot because you have knowledge and insight to share AND, from what I know, it's a HUGE, profitable niche. 3) The last takeaway I had is that you are a good writer my friend. I think you're somebody worth listening to. That's gold in my book!

Wow, how encouraging tminter I appreciate that :)

same wishes right back at you. Good post and thanks for sharing.

Sounds like you're on the right path. A gambling niche would be interesting. I live near Atlantic City and I write about them for Caesars. I'm not much of a gambler, though. Lady Luck leaves me alone. :)

You don't gamble? That's the surest way not to lose lol. Thanks :)

Oh, I do a little. Poker. I'm very practical, though. Think about where else that money could be used and put it back in my pocket. :)

Oh I thought you meant gambling .. in my opinion poker is a game of skill, and I "bet" you do quite well at it LOL

Most the self help motivators/gurus incorporate some sort of journal writing into their programmes. So pleased it's worked for you and now you have a good plan to go forward with. :)

I didn't know that, so I was lucky I guess, thanks Kathy :)

Thank you Mike, for sharing this, it looks like you meditate while writing your thoughts down. I think you have a goldmine in hands, writing about blackjack etc. and offering an e-book to buy for a couple of dollars with your systems. Wish you a wise decision

Thanks Loes, the funny thing is I never realized the meditation aspect of it until I wrote that message. I was like an epiphany. I suddenly got it. Well wishes to you too and thanks. :)

Thanks for the follow. Why don't you learn by becoming an affiliate of W.A. Just a thought. I am sure you will get the right spot. All the best.

Thanks John, I might just do that sometime.

Your niche does not have to be something you know; it can be something you would like to learn.
Also choosing your first niche is not going to be something you do for the rest of your life. You can change your mind in a week or in 2 months. Don't stress yourself out.
Just pick something and go with it. You will practice website building skill, article writing skill and other skills.
As you go through the lessons and communicate with other members, you will definitely pick up new ideas. You will be able to find what you really love to do.
Remember to take it light heartedly, have fun and enjoy yourself. Make it into a game and you will be able to achieve your goal in the end.
Cheers.

Thanks for the great advice MisterWailor. Much appreciated. :)

I love this. You pass on true wisdom and I thank you. I am going through the same thing.....what will be my niche. I already have the domain names but I can't seem to decide what the niche will be. It's good to know I am not alone.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Your friend,
James Smart

Thank you James. I wasn't sure if I should actually post it but what I learned while writing it not as a blog so surprised me that I just felt I should. Thanks so much :)
