Lead magnets are a vital part of you funnel. A way to encourage readers to sign up for your list and become part of your business.

But how do you decide what your Audience wants or needs. What is there pain and how can you deliver a quick solution. Something short but useful they can use immediately.
First you need to know your audience, if you don't then you should not be thinking about creating lead magnets. You are not at this stage in your business.

So, when you know your audience's pain you can create a lead magnet to suit.
What I do is start a sheet with two columns. In the left column write your audiences pain. In the right column write down what they have to do to solve that pain.Try to think of the things they hate to do. IE someone wanting to loose weight would hate having to get up early to exercise or give up their favourite dessert.
Find an easy solution for the thing they hate to do and present in a way they can apply it quickly.
When you have decided on the lead magnet you will use there are many formats you can use but probably the most common and easiest is the PDF document.

If you are stretched for time you can use your phone to record your document and have it transcribed. This is very cheap to so using services such as http://fiverr.com. You can also have a cover for document produced for as little as $5 using the same service
