Google Analytics IP filter
I created an account with Google Analytics and quite pleased at its comprehensive reporting. It displays the overall statistics of my website in real-time. It denotes my visitors, age range, their region, viewed pages, time spent, bounce page, and a whole lot more.
I'm still exploring the analytics total package, but I knew my IP address had to be excluded immediately from the traffic. I accessed the filter page and entered my IPv4 address and it didn't work. Next, I entered my IPv6 address after about 5 attempts and then it worked.
I found my thinking cap. Lol!
Now, I'll see true stats. Unfortunately, my counters will deflate due to my IP exclusion, but at least they'll be actual. I'm not saying I get alot of traffic; however, this part it done.

Hi, this sounds like a great idea! I'm trying to find an ip-filter on my analytics account but I can't... where is it? Thanks.
Never mind, I've found out how to do this. Here is the link in case anyone else wants to: http://www.cognique.co.uk/blog/exclude-internal-traffic-google-analytics/#.VGeddflv6aQ
Thanks JennPGD, I always have this problems of seeing a glass half full than half empty. Lol!
Always a pleasure. Please keep it up. When you think you're stuck with something, remove that and replace with a thought that you can do it. You're NEVER stuck! Each achievement goes with an award and for sharing this experience, you are way ahead of yourself. And that, my friend, is what I call a SUCCESS!

Nice progress Wanda! Sorry I missed you in chat yesterday. I know your site is full of excellent content and I know as you keep progressing, your organic traffic (from search engines) will rise consistently.
Just remember when it comes to analytics, the most important stats are the number of organic visits you're getting and to find that, you'll need to head into Acquisition --> Overview in your account.
I know. I was late. I'll get you next time. Thanks for the tip on Acquisition.
