What I learned about writing blogs...

My first blog (about the changes in the new criteria Google takes into account concerning the quality of websites) was a complete failure. The biggest mistake I made was, that I hit the publish button at a moment that the blog was not yet finished. Therefore I deleted it.

I hope I will never again hit the publish button before I am satisfied with its content. That is of course no garantee, you will by satisfied with it too......

About the same subject (changes in Googles ranking criteria) you can read the excellent blog of boomergp08 on february 2 th : Here the link if you have not read it yet . https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/boomergp08/blog/google-search-engine-guidelines-how-to-get-good-serp

Up to now I have not written any blog (except the one mentioned above and this one). The reason therefore is not, that I know nothing to write about. The reason is that I have some difficulties writing english. Each day I learn use it better.

For the people who have shown interest:

Some blogs which I work at, are:

  1. My first weeks in the WA community To inspire starters....
  2. The importance of little steps and the perseverance in a proces of never ending improvement. I hope many impatient starters will read tihs.....
  3. The power of sharing (about synergy and how it works). In the netherlands we have a proverb that says: (translated into my dutch english): The whole is more than the sum of its parts
  4. Using the power of the whole brain (Left and Right brain). With some practical hints how you can use this in writing blogs and content)

Hi Warner. Your English - just like the English of many Dutch people I know - is very good indeed. Don't worry about it at all. I haven't written any blogs either - my first language is German - but for me it's more a question of managing my time and trying to fit in all the things I want to do and need to do.

Thank you! This is what I wrote to someone whose mothrelanguage is French:
You do it very well! Those who have a different mother language must do more work at there blogs and so on. But in the long run there will be happening something very nice: because we have not only to think about the content but also about the words and the idiom, our english will become a different kind of english, I think. Perhaps a little bit different but attractive to the future readers of the content in your website! Here in Holland is a writer whose mother language was Arab. He learned to wriite in Dutch and his books are now bestsellers!!
In your profile you wrote that you learned many things by doing them. That is the most effective way of learning: So get on learning englisch by doing. And you can write in the near future best-selling content!

Hi, Warner43! Your writing and posting seem find to me, but I am only at 1,496 ...you are already at 470 ...just keep going on what you're doing, of course watch for that BUTTON YOU PUSHED WRONG!

Hey Warner, don't tell anyone you have a problem with English and it will never be suspected. Your writing is very enjoyable.
Harold

It doesn't seem like you have issues with the English language at all. Don't beat yourself up and move on.

Warner, you are doing great! Don't let a language barrier deter you from writing. I would even encourage you to write some pieces in Dutch since the internet is available worldwide. Good luck!!

I think you're doing great! And I believe it's criteria.

Looks like you are writing great English to me! Best wishes.

Thanks. Is it criterions or criteria?

criteria ;)
