I too have ask this question and research for an answer. I agree with exactly what you mean. I want my email reply to come from my domain email and not my gmail account. There seems to be a great mystery here!
Hey Everyone. Can someone just clarify one thing for me. Since our blogs/website we are creating on WA are being hosted on WA servers, they are not being "freshly pressed" in th
Ah. ok. I thought so.I was a bit confused. When you open up a blog directly within wordpress, everytime you update it, anyone within the wordpress community can see it and it's one way people can start to follow your blog. However I just wanted to clarify that in WA, it's not set up that way? We are simply just using the wordpress format, but it's not functioning the same way as it would if we were logging into wordpress and updating our blog there because our blog is not being hosted on Wordpress? Am I making any sense? ha ha.
I think in your post when you talk about it being "freshly pressed" you are referring to the wordpress.com blogs?
Websites/blog that you build with the website builder here at WA are of the self hosted wordpress where you have to SEO your own blogs to get traffic to them.
Your personal blog within Wealthy Affiliate(that you used to make this post) gets shared with everyone in wealthy affiliate via the activity dashboard, but it doesn't get "freshly pressed" to the websites built through the website builder or to the wordpress.com blogs.
Thank You. That was exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you @raywhittaker as well for helping me. I appreciate it.
I'm not sure I followed everything you said there Georgina but I think you have the gist of it right. As long as you have your own domain, your content on your blog is all your own. In order for anyone to see it they have to visit your site. it will not automatically be copied anywhere else unless you've set up your blog to do that.
To get visitors to your site you have to do your marketing which can include SEO, personal promotion offline and online and any other means you can think of.
Hope that answers your question.
