How Open Are You to Change?
For the past 24 hours my husband and I have engulfed ourselves in an intense real estate workshop. At this work shop, they are teaching us how to become investors using other peoples money. My brain is literally over flowing with amazing morsels of information and I have to say that it is worth every penny we have invested so far.
At the end of the day, the trainer assigned us some homework and I wanted to share the link with you guys. Through the day, aside from teaching us real estate lessons, he also incorporated the power of intention. This by far was my favorite part and a treat I wasn't expecting. My husband and I have been practicing the power of intention for years and I literally had to train my brain to operate on a higher level so that it is always in the mindset that constantly manifests what I want and quickly turns negative thoughts around. So it was fun to watch those who have a victim mentally, especially those who do not realize they operate from that state, find the "Ah-ha" moments in his inspiring messages.
One of our homework assignments was to go home and quickly read the book Who Moved My Cheese (here is the free ebook). For those of you who've never had the opportunity to read this book, I would highly suggest it. In fact, If you don't have time, perhaps you can listen to the free audio I found online. The story was intriguing to listen to and I bet if you really took the time to listen, you would be able to identify with one (or a combo of) any of the four characters in the story.
The story is simple. It's teaching you to embrace change and showing how resisting it can hurt you more than help. I own a health and wellness business and every time I meet someone and think they might be able to benefit from this work at home opportunity, I'm always faced with two kinds of people. The ones who see the potential and get excited on how a small investment can yield them amazing financial results and the ones who just see the small investment and can't look past that.
Today I watched new investors sit with fear in their eyes as they learned that real estate isn't easy, but it sure is worth it. That there are big risks, but if you learn the rules, the pay off is amazing. Those that saw it, got excited. Those that let the fear of the unknown and change settle in there bones, right away, let their excuses flow out of their mouths.
See, it's OK to be scared. It's OK to feel nervous. No one ever succeeded by staying comfortable. In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.
I wish you luck in your business ventures and hope that you never let the fear of change stunt your growth, but rather build a fire in your soul to make you want to reach further than you ever dreamed possible.
To your success!
