What Do You Do When?
So, one day you get up and you think Oh this day is going to be great, You just have that feeling. But then as you day progresses ... one thing after another just doesn't go well.
Well, I try to just step away from whatever it is that is bringing me to that bad place. I go read a Bible story, I especially like the parable about the Lost Son, found in Luke 15 11-13 -- it tells of a man who had 2 sons and the younger son asks his father for his share of his estate, and to tell it briefly, the father splits his property and gives the son his share. He ends up squandering and losing it all and was afraid to tell him, but he realizes that he would do better to work for his father as a slave then where he was at, so he goes back home to ask his father's forgiveness and to work for him as a slave.
His father sees him coming from a distance and gathers everyone to go greet him and has the slaves set up a big party for his return. The older brother gets very upset because he has done all the right things and never received such a party. Basicly the father tells him that he was here all the time and the younger one wasn't and they needed to celebrate. He was lost and now has returned.
Anyway this story gets me in such a good mood and reminds me of my fathers love in heaven and that no matter what ~~ good will always come about at some point in time because our father will never forsake us.
Cheers ~~ my good thought for today. What do you do to pull yourself from a bad place or to overcome your setbacks?
And Now I am adding to this post because Happy Place!! I learned how to insert an image into my WA Blog Post!! YAY!!

Thanks for sharing....and you learned something in the process. Can't get any better than that! Debbie
Have to remember the prodigal was forgiven but not restored to everything. The son who was slighted was reminded that he has all the father hath. The prodigal still has to earn back the blessings as at first!
Very true but he was much farther along than he ever thought possible and that is what I always remind myself. "It's not quite as bad as I thought it was". Thank you MKearns
accad -- Thank you for your input, it is always great to learn how others handle things. Always a new perspective helps.
I also step away. Usually there is exercise for the dogs involved or remedial training to keep their minds sharp.

To take me from bad to good I go into my garage and start woodworking, that helps me go into a state of mind that is calming.
