Feeling like quiting

Hi all.

I have been a member since January 2018 and I am not getting anywhere. I have made around £8 in amazon commissions and thats it in 20 months. I am starting to think that the only way to make money from WA is to have a website promoting them. Has anyone actually got a website that they are making money from other than one making commission through WA sign ups? I signed up to set up a website in a niche I am interested in. I have written 1000s of word and many posts and now I am stuck as I either carry on paying the $49 a month or lose all my hard work. But then my hard work is not getting me anywhere. I was getting up to 50 vistors a day (which is not great anyway) but now I am getting only 10 -15 sometimes less. I am selling items on ebay and enclosing a business card and customers are vistiing my website by searching directly. This is the only way I am getting visitors. To make matters more annoying th £ is getting weaker against the dollar so I am now paying £42 a month when I was originally paying £36. I really don't know what to do. I have put in so much hard work it is deflating and frustrating to feel like I have failed. WA should really give you a cooling off option where you can pause payment for a bit. Anyone feeling the same?

I know how you feel, I feel the same but I keep trying and learning and improving, I did not make any commission until 11 months in, and I just made another commission in July, I think in order to make any money is to have different streams of income and not just from one source. If you can afford to remain at WA I would suggest you try other areas to receive commission.

Hi Vicki,

Please do not sell yourself short!!

I hate to say it but, "The honeymoon is over" and things are starting to get a little tough this is the time to dig in a double down.

It is hard to be without self-doubt sometimes in what we are doing or the direction in which you have taken your website; everyone (including me) has had those feeling one time or other (I am almost sure of it).

If you give up now you will never know - what if?

To answer your question - YES!

There are many members here making large sums of money monthly and do not promote WA what so ever on their websites.

If you scroll down on the dashboard there is a section called success stories their you will see blogs about different successes that members have achieved and many have nothing to do with promoting WA.

Are you following Jay's SEO tactics?

Are you consistently adding low hanging keyword-relevant blogs to your website as Kyle teaches?

Do you have Affiliate links that are to products that can help members in your niche (your audience)?

I'd like to try to help you, by givnig you a helping hand and possibly some guidance, can you PM me your website link so I can take a look at it for you?

Living Life Large, Calvin

Thank you all. Think I'm going to take a step back from it for a bit. Keep selling on eBay to pay for the subscription until I make a choice. Other than start again with a new niche I don't know what to do. And I don't think I have the motivation to do that. Good luck to you all. I hope you have more luck.

I soooooo know how you feel.

It is awful to put in so much work and have no return.

But you have made £8 so something worked somewhere along the line. If you could determine what and rinse and repeat and upscale this.

There are definitely people making serious money without promoting WA (I know sometimes it feels like that is the only way but that is not the case).

Are there any high-end products in your niche and is it an evergreen popular niche?

Whatever it is there is potential there.

Don't give up - you could be so close.

Yes, I have felt that way also. I am currently very frustrated. Seems like I spend alot of time frustrated and confused on this. But what I find out through:

- Continuing on
- Listening to the community
- PM'ing my mentor
- and pushing forward...

is that all my failures are from tiny successes. Yes, I keep failiing forward and that in itself gives me hope. That hope builds into a fire of motivation. Looking back on my short journey here so far. I am pleased overall. If the community can tolerate me and keep guiding me like they have... this will work out great. Don't lose your desire and motivation...At least you are making sales. Duplicate them.

Hi, I just want to encourage you to not give up, you may be closer than you think.

I believe nothing we ever do is wasted.

Having been in business for 27 years, I feel this is one of the most cost affordable ways to do business.

It does take time like any type of business, discipline and persistence are vital.

Keep the faith, the community here will support you the whole way.

Darren :)

Hi,

I am sorry you are struggling. My traffic and post rankings (and sales) were all down for June and most of July. I think this was due to the latest Google update. In late July it all picked up for me though and I have been making sales on Amazon almost every day since. It has been 11 out of the last 12 days right now.

I saw many other people comment on similar circumstances with everything going way down after the Google update and some going down after last year's Google update. Suddenly, some of us have seen a reversal however.

Do you use really good keywords with decent traffic and low QSR? If you are competing against many other sites with similar keywords it can be slow to get started. Try to find an avenue to break in with great keywords/low competition.

Most of my traffic is organic but that only works because I have low competition keywords. I have niche sites and do not promote WA.

If you send me your website link I could take a look at your site if you want.

I know how it feels to go for long stretches without much traffic or sales. I hope you can find a way to make it work and things pick up for you.

Jessica

I know how you feel. Sometimes you just need to take a break from something and then start back some time after to go to new heights. Just hang in there and believe that you can earn money. You can do it!

I have been with WA since June last year and have over 200 posts written
Building a business takes time and 2 years is a good time frame before any business really does start making a profit.
It's up to you what to do
Here in NZ I pay $74 per month and consider these very cheap overheads to run my own business- just my thoughts
All the best in whatever you choose to do
Vicki

Good things take time! I would maybe just take a step back and maybe change some things up. You only fail if you quit In my opinion. You never know your next sale could be right around the corner!
