A Roadmap to Succeeding With Pinterest

Pinterest is one of the most highly underrated platforms that I've found is great to succeed through, if you do things correctly that is. So let me break down the process from my own personal experience:

  • Pinterest is basically an image search engine where the images/video content people post are called pins.
  • You can create many pins on Pinterest and link them to your website.
  • Choose a visual niche that is interesting to people (clothing, travel, nature, home improvement, gardening are good examples)
  • Make pins on whatever niche you posted (post daily, 5-10 is a good start)
  • The more your pinterest page grows, the more traffic you can bring to your website
  • More traffic coming to your website from Pinterest = more visitors coming to it you can monetize off

Examples:

1,000 visitors a day from Pinterest to your website that runs ads and pays $30 for 1,000 visits = $30 daily, $900/month

Currently I'd say one of my sites is earning about $100-$200/month from Pinterest traffic alone.

Pinterest really stinks. I had tons of pins and posts with links going to my website. Last week my account got deactivated. I sent 3 messages to Pinterest that I did not deactivate my account and please restore it. It made a significant difference with the stats in my analytics. I never received a follow-up message or never got my account restored. So I am trying to set up an account with Instagram and use that to help get more traffic to my website. The hell with Pinterest.

Sorry Jerry I wish I could give some good advice here on what to do. What kind of niche was your pinterest page based on?

My niche was on promoting Wealthy Affiliate and affiliate marketing in general.

There's a reason I ask this. I've found mmo type niches tend to have that kind of thing happen more often than others within Pinterest.

I have been pinning on Pinterest for almost 2 years, with over 50 pins and posts. This was the first time I ever experienced this.

I've spoken to a lot of people who have had their accounts shut down and one very common thing I have seen is that it is usually accounts within the mmo niche. Just my personal observation.

Try LinkedIn and Quora too, they both work well with me, with little to no problems.

Ok thank you Zoopie.

Yes, Pinterest is great. I have been lax in continuing to add new pics there, but thanks for the "kick in the bum".i will be re-evaluating my work there.

Hi Vitaliy

Any classes that talk more in depth about how to create a Pinterest strategy that makes sense? I spent 2 weeks - every single non working moment of the day - making pins, scheduling pins, adjusting pins ...It is not sustainable. I used AI, bulk creators, bulk schedulers and still ...My live posts are seasonal - I am not even sure if I should pin them now since it is not the season .... I have a whole list of things that I don't know how to do when it comes to strategy... And I am not in a nature related niche either...Thanks!

So I keep it very simple to the method described above. The niche is important and it's something that scales overtime. I don't put ALL my eggs into the Pinterest basket, but choosing a good niche and consistently posting pins daily is what got me here Mona. I'd check the training I linked in the above area.

I am trying to keep it simple too .. I thought I will be able to schedule one month worth of pins in a weekend. Did not happen. How do you choose your 10 pins? Are they all for the same post? Random posts? I have 30 posts that have no pins. I pick them from a hat?! I feel like all I am doing is throwing spaghetti to wall hoping that one will stick ... in 5-10 years. Through endless algo updates etc etc etc. Clicking 3 buttons to create a pin is not a strategy in my opinion...Yes I watched the training. It was good. But I know how to create pins. I've been through this nightmare 4 years ago - got nothing out of Pinterest...

I don't schedule anything. I have over 300 blog posts on my nature site, so a lot of variety of content and I make my pins based on those locations to diversify the pin imagery.

So you just pick 10 posts per day to pin? I don't have enough posts to do that. I have only 30. I created a number of designs - lets say 10 (there are more). Then I generate the text that goes on them. If I have 2 texts, Canva generates 20 pins. I wanted to generate more pins because I don't have enough blog posts to pin regularly and I do not write one post per day either...I figured I will select the best performing designs and stick with those .....So far, things have not worked very well.

You can just make new images but steer them to the same posts over and over, nothing wrong with that. I have 100 different image pins steering to the same post on my website.

Yeah ...that was the idea. The most time consuming id the text on the pins because I had to adjust it to fit properly. Not all texts are the same length. Some required more customization than others...I also used utm parameters to create unique URL's for each pin...This one takes only 2 seconds I copy paste from a web site that generates the URL...Thanks Vitaliy.

Am in pinterest for long with many pinterest but working out I don't what I should do

I would recommend the training modules I linked to.
