I have followed instructions for Filezilla with no luck. Have installed and reinstalled. I have searched on youtube also.
Sorry Val,
I wrote this reply in your profile by accident! So now it's gonna be doubled lol!
Hey Val,
Sorry about that. I thought maybe you were using your own hosting.
So just to doublecheck:
1) You are using your website name as the host right? So in your case: home-biz-success.net
2) You've made sure you don't have any extra spaces around your username and password (the copy function leaves one extra space at the end of your username so double-check it)
3) Filezilla comes up with a warning for me about allowing my connection through my firewall. Does that come up for you or no? Try disabling your firewall temporarily to see if that let's you through.
And if all that fails:
4) It's been noted that you have to change the settings of your FTP from passive to active. I didn't have to but here's how to do it: Go to "edit" and click "settings". Then click on "FTP" and choose the transfer mode to be active instead of the default which is passive. Then click OK and you should be good to go hopefully.
Let me know if you get it to work or not :)
What sort of error messages are you getting? Is the connection being made successfully? Are the file transfers failing?
Everything hooks up fine, but then communication from the server fails. Thanks for asking.
Did the information from Marion or from Thischick allow you to resolve the problem? If not, I'd suggest opening a support ticket.
Since you're getting connected, you don't seem to have any issues with your site address, username, or password. I suspect that switching the transfers from passive to active (as Thischick mentioned) may be the key to getting the transfers working.
Which hosting company are you with? Have you tried using your company's FTP through their cPanel? That should work if nothing else does.

Will check them out. Thanks for the links. I have just about exhausted my resources. I have even tried other ftp programs and get similar errors. Nothing works.
