Delivering the Bay to you in pictures.

Now this post may take some time before it loads as there are quite a few pictures - like Vera's posts which also take a long time to load, so I am asking you to be very, very patient, it will be well worth the wait and if not I will gladly refund your money.

If you haven't read any of my running blogs these pictures will mean nothing to you. But they are beautiful though.

The text refers to the picture above it in case you get confused. Picture then picture description, lol ! I put this here so I would know how to read my own post.

This is just the start, the walk to the Bay.

Three pitches, weirdly quiet, do you think everyone knew I was going to be taking pictures and they are camera shy?

Ooh look some people have rocked up!

I cross this road to start my run, I am dreading it. Yeah, I know, scenery and all that.

This graphic was put here to avoid confusion as to what to do when you get here, very helpful. I was confused at first but now I am very experienced.

Once my feet hit this line there is no stopping me. It's like a railway line and I can't get off until I get back to the beginning.

This is what I see as I look over to the right. I will be running over there in about umpteen billion minutes time.

About 200 metres into my run, no bridge in sight yet. In the far distance is Sydney, Australia. YAY! The weather is stinky, hot and humid to say the least.

In the far distance along this track is a fence which I will soon be running up to.

Here is that fence I just mentioned. Over there is a yacht/boat club. You are going to see more of these clubs further along on the run.

Now can you see what I mean, does that bridge look a long way away? I bet you don't even know where it is do you? It's right over there in the very, very far distance, can you see it now?

It's funny but when I see this tiny hump I run around it on the left side, I am not working harder than I need to, LOL!

See that little building across the water in the middle? I will be running passed that eventually, geez!

More signs in case you had your eyes closed at the beginning.

Just in case you were confused by the last picture.

Does that bridge look any closer? I have run over 2.5 kilometres now!

They traced my running and put this up. What are those two eyes for? Another boat house in the background.

Another demotivating picture of the bridge. Is this thing ever going to get closer?

Gradual incline up to Iron Cove Bridge and then the steep incline.

See the square patterns? This is what I call confusion zone, this is where cyclists and runners clash. A space where no one knows whats going on and there are several of them around this course.

Iron Cove Bridge at last! I am exhausted just doing this post! I am going to have to stop here because this is getting way beyond what any human can endure. I will have to do a second post and I am sorry about that because you have all been waiting for Mr. Greeny and Mr. Greeny has been so excited to meet you all.

I had to leave out a lot of interesting photos just to keep this post short (this post short I hear you laugh).

At least we are halfway and now you can relax on this part of the run.

If you've made it this far, give yourself a pat on the back, you deserve it.

For those of you that have survived this part, here is part II, enjoy; but before you shoot over to the other post could you also leave a comment here it is inspiring for me.

The Second Part of the Bay in Full Colour

Have a great weekend folks!

How do you do it, and do you go to work after that, or do you do the run at the end of the day, the pictures are beautiful by the way, you live in delightful surroundings.:-))

Great to see you again, Stephanie. On Mondays, I run after work, Wednesday before work and Thursday after work then Friday off to the Blue Mountains. Thanks for the compliments.

Wow! That is a long run and it's only half over. I can see why it gets you exhausted. That will surely keep you in shape. But you have to admit, it is the perfect place for a run, walk or bike ride. I'm looking forward to meet Mr. Greeny!

Thanks, Gina, I am glad you appreciate that fact. I have put a link in for part II in this post now so you can take a look at Mr. Greeny

Nice

Thanks, Narasimharao, a link to part II is in this post now if you would like to take a look?

I know your area well and appreciate the hot and humid, with its special exhaustion.
I look outside to more snow falling with temps below 0C (recently down to -17C). You might try our local mountains for a bit of elevation variety sometime.
Your application and endurance is admired.
Larry

G'day, Larry, thanks for taking a look. I live in the Blue Mountains most times, my slice of heaven. I have put a link to part II in this post if you would like to take a look at the rest of the Bay?

Is Hell's Hill still ahead? I Think that's a beautiful area Michael. I love the trees in the water. Worth a train ride up and out of the mountains for!!

Yes, they are mangrove trees and they love to live in the water.

Hell's Hill is up ahead and I have now put a link to part II in this post, take a look if you've got time. Thanks, Michael, I always appreciate your comments and our little talks.

Cool, I'll have these images in my mind when I read your next running blog and I'll know exactly where you are. Thanks for sharing :-)

Thanks, Gaylene, I think it will make it more exciting if I know someone is following me on my run. I have put a link to part II in the post if you would like to take a look?

Thanks, will take a look :-)

Thanks for the adventure Michael, enjoyable:-)

That's a pleasure, Marty, I have put a link to part II into this post now if you would like to take a peek?

WHEW!!! That was exhausting!!! Still not hooked on the running thing, but cycling I can do. But you've mentioned hot & humid....that's a problem.....I hibernate during tbe hot & humid months in New York. Seriously....I only go out when absolutely necessary....and even then, I don't go out.

Great pictures!

...and you didn't even run the Bay, LOL !

Mr. Greeny is in part II. I have put a link in this post for you.

Thanks for the compliment, Lil Sis

Lovely pics, Michael. And it´s a looong way to run indeed. I´d bring a snack and water. And some money for the bus, just in case ...

Thanks, Tessa. Rick suggested apricots in my pocket, lol ! I have put a link to the second part of this story if you would like a look?

You betcha!

Very nice pics Michael ! Thanks for sharing your part of this great blue planet.

But where are the Kangouroo ;) lol

Cheers, Jeff

The Roos don't tend to come down to Sydney but I get to see them all the time in the Blue Mountains where I live most of the time. Thanks, Jeanfrancois. I have put a link to part II if you would like to take a peek?
