I am an English woman who would love to learn how to earn a living online. I feel that this is the way to go now, computers are taking over the work space so better to learn how to work with them. I own two very silly spaniel dogs, I love cooking, baking and am heavily into health food, herbalism and living an alternative lifestyle

I am married to a lovely man, we have two grown up children and the reason I want to become an affiliate is because I used to write articles for somebody based in America, he paid me not a lot and then would charge the people who ordered the article a lot more. I decided after 3-4 months that I had done my training and needed to move on. Thankfully, now I have found Wealthy Affiliate I will be able to realize this dream.

Hello again, Steph! well, I do believe you are my first "accident" follow! How are you coming along with the certification? I'm no techie, but you can send me a PM if you're stuck with something if I can't provide an answer, I'll make every effort to point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the follow and the offer of help Veronica, I don't actually believe in accidents, far too many have set me straight, bit like Wealthy Affiliate. At the moment, my main problem is that I keep getting these godawful five day migraine headaches, they make working online just about impossible. I need a couple of days to really get into my training, and hey presto, another migraine headache will start to rear its ugly head, again. I have got to go to the doctors, I really do want to make a living through Wealthy Affiliate. Still, shouldn't complain, things could be worse. I will be in touch soon if I do have any problems setting up:-))Steph

I suffer from intense headaches; I had one doctor tell me that based on my answers to his questions, it sounded like I get migraines; another doctor said it's probably just headaches. Whatever they are, I take prescription medication to alleviate the pain, mkst if which leave me i calable of doing anything. I'm so sorry to bear that you have to suffer this way, Steph.

First and foremost, make every effort to get it checked. I actually just had an MRI yesterday; a neurologist suggested that I keep a "headache journal", there could be something that triggers it that you may not be aware.

Second, when you do feel good, attempt to get one thing done that day towards your business, even if you can't complete the task, at least you know you did something.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thank you, Veronica, for such helpful advice, I have taken to wearing dark glasses, all the time, to try to see if maybe it is the sunshine or the computer screen that is giving me them.

As I say, I will be going to the doctors, but I will be putting your advice into practice, about at least starting the tasks for my websites, I have written down so many ideas.

Thanks again Veronica.:-))Steph

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hi there Vince, so good of you to get in touch, I know that I have been here for nearly a year but life has been a little bothersome lately, taking me away from my computer, sob, sob, and even though I have got my websites up and running, I was unable to write any pages or posts for a short while, and I found myself totally stuck when I returned.

Because of this, I have returned back to the beginning of the training, I am surprised at how much I missed in my rush to make money, no wonder I have not been making any money, I did hardly any training. That is where I am at now, doing my training, but still writing pages and posts for my website. Thank you for letting me know you are willing to help me, that has boosted my confidence greatly.:-))Steph

I love your website topic, and have a soft spot for herbs and aromatherapy. The medical disclaimer is very prominent, have you considered putting it in a footer or somewhere less intrusive? I really love the use of images for the herbs as well. I know you didn't ask for feedback, but I saw your website was listed on your profile. There is a saying in Kundalini yoga that I teach, and that is "keep up, and you'll be kept up," and I think that applies at WA as well!

Keep going, you're doing great.

Thank you so much, Anne, for the very good website feedback.

I am seriously thinking of getting back into yoga, it cured a slipped disc of mine, many years ago, and well done for teaching kundalini yoga, I think it is probably best done in classes, I found it hurt too much when I followed a CD of it, or maybe it was my age 55, and being too ambitious.I have since bought a book called "yoga for wimps" which looks less painful.:-))

Thank you so much, Robert, a very steep learning curve and I am still climbing, does it ever level out? but I must be a mountaineer at heart because I am really enjoying it. I will be clicking through to your training blogs very soon, to see if they can clear up a few points. Thanks for inviting my investigation:-))Steph

Thanks for the follow, Stephanie -- following you back. All the best to you here at WA.

You've done a very nice job on your site. One thing that I did notice, though, is that all of the WA banners under your header link back to your site's home page rather to WA. That seems a bit strange to me. Did you intend to do that or should those be WA affiliate links?
Reply
vanbot Premium
Thank you, Bob, and after sitting and deleting all those pages last night I am hoping things stay normal today.

You are right, I wanted the links from that Banner on my header to go to the WA page, so that is something for me to sort out today, I need to find out how to add the WA affiliate link to my header. At the moment I have changed the header, there is no reason to have a redundant banner sitting there.

Again, thanks for your help, it is much needed.:-))Steph

I'd recommend opening a support ticket asking tech support to check your site. The fact that those extra pages got there in the first place indicates some sort of problem with your site's files. Tech support should be able to pinpoint the cause and fix it.

Yes, you are right Bob, I will set that up tomorrow, a little busy this evening, I have had no more pages appear this morning, but you are right, I should try to find out what caused it in the first place. Thank you so very much for your help:-))Steph

Hi Stephanie,

From one English woman to another, it's lovely to make your acquaintance. Hope you are having fun here at WA and enjoying your journey so far. I can see by your blog list and your website that you are certainly putting the work in. ;)

I look forward to taking some time to read your blogs, and the one titled, 'Mum is quite Insane!' has definitely caught my eye. Probably because that's what everyone in my household thinks too!

Well, for now, it's back to writing a little more content for my website, and then onto birthday celebrations for the next two days for my daughters' who will be 9 and 17 respectively.

All the best,

Jules x

Thanks for taking the time to pop in and comment, and do enjoy your birthday celebrations, having birthdays so close together can be a bit of a nuisance, but at least you have all year to save up for them.:-))Steph

Hello, Vanbot just dropped in to say and that I like your Website. I have recently developed an interest in aromatherapy and essential oils as I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. As a result and I am looking into alternative medicine. Will be following you good luck with the website.
Reply

Hi Ilene, thanks for popping by, and thank you for liking my website, I am so into this alternative medicine because my doctor told me what I had was incurable, took some spices and three months later, I am cured. The only problem is they make everything else feel so much better, and as it is only food stuff, I am still taking it.

For your osteoarthritis, do some research on golden paste medicine, made with turmeric, water, black pepper, coconut oil and to make it taste better, honey and cinnamon. I have got the recipe on my website but research it on other websites as well.

I really do love essential oils and if you get some ginger essential oil, mix three drops into 15ml of a carrier oil and rub that into your painful joints, it can help ease the pain sometimes. Just to keep everybody happy try mixing lavender and geranium and spritz it around the room or use a burner, it is a lovely cheerful smell.Hope this helps you:-))

Think I had better stop now, I'm on my way to writing a blog post and I am only supposed to be saying thanks for the follow:-))Steph

Reading your story made me feel sorry about writers that are usually underpaid. I've been to those sites, and myself has ordered articles in the past. I know how hard it is to write articles (esp. when you're not in the mood to write). Wouldn't it be great if we get paid more for the articles we write? That's how blogging with WA can help. We can get paid over and over again for our blog posts. And you've found the right place to start. =)

I am sorry my story made you feel sad, yes, the person I worked for at that time was a little short on conscience but I actually looked on the work I did for him as paid training, I learned to write a good article and got paid for it and the rest will be sorted out by Karma.

I was mainly saying how glad I am to have found Wealthy Affiliate, and meeting you and reading your story, has made me even gladder. Have a wonderful weekend:-))Steph

P.S. If you get a chance check out how the training helped me to build my websites. My latest one on how to boost your retirement income just went live a month ago and the one on sleep apnea has been up for almost four months now. You can find the links on my profile page. Any feedback or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Shawn, glad to meet you, I have just visited your websites and I have got one word, WOW, I am a very untechie person who is very slowly working her way through the training here, I thought I was getting good, but I have obviously got a long way to go, I am not discouraged, though, if you can do it, then so can I. You have done a lot of work on your sites and you should be very proud of them.:-))Steph

Steph, I just got your message on my profile. If you have a good crew strawbale buildings are about the same hardness as cob. All cob is using the same render mix (clay, water and sand) and adding chopped up straw into it. When we had the bales up then we made cob out of the huge amount of straw cut to form bales to fit. Then we stuffed holes and smoothed out bits that were too curved.

I got a chuckle out of you D, D &OS; blog and left a comment.

Now back to work and I will be keeping in touch with you.

Thanks for following me back and leaving the info about cob and straw bale, I found out the other day that a cob house can stand for a good couple of hundred years, we should all be making our own houses. Take care and we can talk soon.:-))Steph

So do strawbale ones. And it is a good use for 'debris' from grain growing. Reuse at its best.

Hello English lady who would love to earn a living online.

Paul here from Ontario, Canada. I spent my primary years in Crawley, Sussex at 'Pound Hill.'

It was a wonderful time. Only 5 years and then we came to Canada.
Then it was to 'Queen Alexandra' and the rest is what it is.

Thank you for introducing yourself. I am very pleased to meet you.

Your kindness is returned through the 'follow-me' platform here at WA University..

Wow, I am new here and getting overwhelmed with all the welcomes.
I must be in the right place.

Please stay in touch as I look forward to sharing with and serving the community as I can.

Hi Paul, I am sorry I haven't spoken to you for a while, been busy training, and I keep getting these amazingly bad migraines, but I have discovered something called black cumin seed oil, and it does seem to make them easier to cope with, and they aren't happening as often. Have you tried it, or heard of it?:-))Steph

Hi Steph, thank you.

Never be sorry...because 'Sorry' seem to be the hardest words. -Elton John.

Migraines are probably the worst kind of pain that one can suffer.

What are you doing with the 'black cumin?' Share with the people here that may have similar symptoms...ie. migraines.

Black Cumin is readily available. I use it sometimes in my cooking but is not a substitute for regular cumin seeds.

Do you make some sort of tea?

I make tea with various different ingredients. For example, Parsley,
Rosemary and Thyme. These help with my auto-immune disorder.

Please keep us updated.

Kindest regards,

Paul.

Do you make tea with all three herbs or just single herbs, I love the flavours of rosemary and thyme..
The black cumin I buy in capsule form for myself, and in loose oil form for my dogs, I have found for myself that the migraines have lessened hugely and my stomach problems have disappeared. The Prophet Mohammed is said to have told his followers to take it every day as it cures everything but death. I am beginning to think he was right.
You can also roast the seeds in a frying pan, grind very finely and then mix with honey. For the winter I am thinking of doing this.
My dogs get 1/2 tsp in their food in the morning, they are healtier with it as well.

No, individually. The flavour of Parsley will grow on you.
Great for the internal organs.

Was not aware that black cumin is available in capsule form.

Your dogs are lucky to have someone so loving.

Glad that things are working out for the better for you.

Kindest regards,

Paul.
