Premium, here I come!

Last Update: May 28, 2019

The road ahead is long, but sunny at least.

This marks the start to what I think will be a good journey. I'm as new as the grass is green when it comes to most things here, like blogging and affiliate marketing. However, having burned through all the starter member content I am already hungry for more learning.

Working from home, can it really be done?

I have read more success stories in the past week than I have in all my life! And almost every one of them on the same subject: Their time with Wealthy Affiliate and learning to make a living from the comforts of home (or wherever you'd like really!). So yeah its looking good going forward from here.

It's not going to be all peaches and flowers, bud.

It's worth mentioning that anything worth having in the world, is worth working for. I have little to no background in blogging, website design, business, or affiliate work - but then again that makes up many people here. And because the training has been so solid thus far, I can see why so many members eventually achieve their goals and even exceed them.

But that all still takes much time and effort, especially early on when everything is so new. I respect a good challenge and also love to learn so being here and doing my lessons will be my response to that.

Thankful for this opportunity

I respect a business for what it is and what it does. The exchange of money for the gift of knowledge and resources has been going on forever, and at much higher rates. I was planning to spend thousands to attend another 2 years of college for something that may, or may not. That's a pretty hefty investment for a solid "maybe".

For the cost of less than a movie night out with the wife (which is especially expensive here in Canada) I can get a full month of premium access tools and resources, thousands of dollars worth of knowledge instantly available. It seemed like a small price to pay to see how well I can succeed at this.

For what its worth, I think you're doing something really cool here Kyle & Carson, and everyone who contributes to the community really. Education is really expensive if you go through the standard route of colleges and universities. High quality lessons like this, online straight to your home, at a much more affordable rate seems like a godsend for people like me. I look forward to the future prospects I can achieve with the education here, but also want to see you guys hold up your end of the bargain and help me succeed too. I'll work hard for it, promise.

Cheers
Tyson

🎉Congrats!🎉

I too just started🏁 here & know all too well how difficult & scary😌 it can be, for me at least, to decide to invest in yourself.💸 But with all the support & knowledge🎓 here, I feel like we have much better odds🎰 than most.

I'm very excited😊 & hopeful moving forward! The lessons📚 have filled me with confidence & I hope you feel the same as you move forward. 🔜

You're writing📝 is really amazing! I was a professional💰 freelance writer for more than a decade📅 & I can honestly say, a great many people can't express themselves nearly as clearly, as fluidly or as well as you have here. 👆

I have no doubt in your success📈 moving forward! I'd love💙 to keep in touch📨 & help each other as we move forward if you want! Feel free to message💌 me any time to discuss💬 WA, talk about your plans, give or ask for advice or even just chat!

🎉Congrats again!🎉

🍀Best of luck!🍀

Thank you very much for your kind words, it really hits home for me right now. Investing in myself is the biggest leap I've ever taken - and so far out of my element at that!

But being here at WA has already given a major confidence boost. I'm not the same guy, digging through video after video on YouTube, looking for "the answer". Now I feel like I'm part of a real community full of genuine individuals like yourself, looking to share stories and provide assistance. Between that and the very straightforward training, I don't feel lost anymore =)

I'm surprised at the gracious comments about my writing though! I've never written a blog or article in my life, but I do really enjoy this sort of work. Feels a tad off, calling it work I suppose.. I'll ponder that more later.

Again before I get all derailed again, just wanted to say it has been nice chatting. Especially with someone so established, and easy to get along with of course.

Keep in touch,
Tyson

Awww! Thank you! Yes, at first, writing things you just think about anyway as "work" & getting paid for it is really weird & pretty surreal. After a while though, you start to get used to it.

Believe it or not, a lot of people really can't just sit down & write something that is easily readable, coherently written, & has a natural progression like you did here.

For the longest time people would ask me how I do it, write for a living, & I wouldn't understand the question. For some of us it just comes naturally but I'm told for many, just writing down what you'd say if you were speaking to the person directly isn't an easy concept for them.

Let alone something that naturally radiates the kind of hope & emotion that I see here! When I read it, I could feel what you were feeling!

That's one of the hardest things to accomplish as a writer. The trick though is to just do what you did here. When you sit to write, you try to cultivate the feeling that you want to convey & write from that feeling. You did it without even trying! That's amazing! You have a true natural gift! I can't wait to see you're skills, blog & business grow & flourish! It's like watching a legend in the making! It's very exciting! You have quite the bright future ahead of you!

I feel someone with a professional background as a writer, like yourself, is gonna be prone to some brain picking from yours truly in the future. I have so much to learn but it's all so interesting, so I may as well make solid use of the resources available here =)

One of the many beautiful features of a good written piece is to be able to convey so many thoughts, feelings, and images. And all that can be done simply through words! The written aspects of our language can make it especially tricky to get the right messages out, lacking tone and pitch and all that.

But thankfully the English language has like 3 bazillion words!

All the tools are there, it just takes time and practice like most all of life's worthy undertakings. I can definitely tell you've had some experience at this and it makes it all the better of a chit-chat in the end.

Lastly, thanks again and as always for the encouraging words. I hope to use what developing skills I have to spread a little more sunshine and chill vibes around this already awesome place ;)

You can pick my brain any time! No matter how big or small the topic or question, I'd be honored to assist!

Oh, about the tone issue, you're right! It can be tough to convey tone in writing, but you'd be surprised the difference italic font can make. 😉 It's great for stressing words or points, wonderful for sarcasm & I find it properly conveys the change in tone we often use when asking rhetorical questions. For example:

But does it? Does it really?

Now this message doesn't give me the italic option, but in your mind put the word "does" from the first sentence & "really" from the second in italic font & let me know if you hear the difference in your mind. It can work wonders.

I also recommend Marie Forleo's free "Copy Cure" workshop on creating copywriting that converts & Courtney Johnston Chaal's website "The Rule Breakers Club" bc she has some great posts on making your copy engaging that are really good. She actually talks about the writing with emotion technique I mentioned. Here are links to a couple to give an example:

Let me know what you think! And remember, my metaphorical door is always open to you! Lots of love!
