I Believe In Myself And My Ability To Succeed

"I Believe In Myself And My Ability To Succeed" is this weeks' affirmation, though I think I am actually a week behind, no matter, maybe I will sneak another one in before the end of this

week.

That said, I am inclined to keep this one going for longer, why? Well, because this particular affirmation is at the very core of everything I do.

In truth, it should be your cornerstone as well. If we don't believe in ourselves then what chance do we really have?

There will be times when our confidence is knocked and it's easy to falter, to stumble, to fall. It's in those times that we need to remind ourselves that we need to be our own best advocate.

It starts from within and you have to have a serious word with yourself.

When I was young and looking back there might have been an element of precociousness about me, not that I knew that was what it was, I just didn't respect the invisible lines that were there to seemingly give certain individuals some kind of immunity from being responded to in the manner they deserved, if you get my drift.

Let's not go there right now, what I was driving at was that when someone said something like "I knew you were going to say/do that" my natural response would have been "You couldn't have 'known', you might have assumed or guessed but you couldn't 'know'"

You can see how that might not go down well with some, especially those in the educational hierarchy. My card was definitely marked very early on.

Anyway, now that I am older (not necessarily wiser) it would appear that I now 'know' that 'knowing' is more than just relying on facts to back up a statement, it's all semantics anyway.

When it comes to self-belief I am more inclined to push past 'belief' and 'faith' (in a non-religious fashion) into the world of 'knowing'.

Some might misconstrue this as arrogance but it's more to do with certitude, it's unambiguous, unequivocal, you just 'know'.

Let it absorb you, immerse yourself, know it. It's like an emotion, you should feel coursing through every fibre of your being.

It's not a straightforward path though, there are many obstacles along the way to contend with. They will have some very convincing arguments for you to contend with.

The 'naysayers' and our own self-doubt being only a couple of the many dissonant elements that will be sent to beguile us.

Yet, if we know, deep down, that ultimately we will succeed in our endeavours then it doesn't matter what we come up against.

When you 'know' then "But what if...?" means nothing.

Every problem is a challenge for us to overcome. Every challenge is a problem that will be solved.

I believe in myself and my ability to succeed and so should you.

Have a good one.

Life is made up of many lifetimes rolled into one, experiences are the cauldron of wisdom, at some point there is that transition, to where we do not have to think about it because we are it.

Your post is a timely reminder as we embark on this once in a generation year.

How does it go I think it so therfore I am it.

Heads up to self belief.

Alex

Damn Alex, thats some great insight there and great writing. Thanks for writing this

Yes, I love that, thank you, Alex. "experiences are the cauldron of wisdom" perfect.
I changed 'I think therefore I am' to "I think, therefore I can and I will"
We are no longer on the cusp of great things, self-belief dictates that we are already doing great things with the promise of even greater things to come.

Agreed.

I like that Alex

experiences are the cauldron of wisdom

Brilliant

So true Twack, and being that we are involved in and with WA the scales are tipped in our favor.

We are indeed doing great things.
Alex

Absolutely.

Awesome post! Twack! You absolutely can do it. Because you know your strengths and weakness well, and have a positive view of yourself. Good luck!

All the best,
Joyce

Thank you, Joyce, the journey is on.
You speak true words, we need to know our weaknesses as well as our strengths, so we can play to the one and strive to improve the others (and yes, there's more than one).
We can all do this.

Awesome Twack
