Onomatopoeia...chugga chugga, chugga chugga, whoo whoo...well ? Come on, play the game. If you say the words, what does it make you think of ? A train of course...

Oh, I forgot the picture was there..no prize then.

I've been way to 'thoughtful' nay, almost philosophical over the last few days and it's time for a change. I thought of going random and that just made me think of basketball. I was never any good at basket and it used to perplex me. Not to the point of losing sleep but I was a bit nonplussed. I have good hand to eye co-ordination....squash, tennis, ping-pong, cricket were all sports I enjoyed and was able to play to a competent level.

I could run into the outfield and pick up a cricket ball and launch it a fair distance so it landed in the hands of the 'wicket-keeper'...but could I put a big basketball into a large hoop a few metres away ? Nope...not a chance... One of lifes little mysteries. Hey ho, back to the train.

I was just thinking about momentum and the image of a train popped into my head and here we are...also made me think of 'titles' but that's a blog for another day.

Momentum..no digression...train, let's stay on track...see what I did there ? The last week has been slightly disjointed, to say the least. Not that it hasn't been a great week, it has. Finished the OEC training..sweet...had my first 'century' of comments on here...very nice indeed...sold two cars and a bike...previous blogs explain all that...a blast from the past. Finished the first assignment of the SAC....well, I say finished, technically I have one more post to do...it's complicated to explain...and I so do not want to bore you...moving on.

This blog is more about yesterday and I had intended to write and post it then but just ran out

of day, so this morning will have to do. I woke up yesterday earlier than the alarm, which is always nice, up I got and went downstairs to begin the ritual of walking the dogs...only to find they had left me a 'present'...no need to say more. You may think that this was an omen of how the day was going to pan out....not on my watch.

I had made a mental decision to forge ahead with the day and accomplish everything I put my mind to..no excuses... As Yoda puts it "Do or not do. There is no try"... On it then. Dogs walked, breakfast had, sold an old 'thermostat' on EBay...not to write home about but they all count. Informed my good lady that I would be 'writing' today, when I got back..Into town, found a parking space..never in doubt..two banks later...back to the car. On my way to have haircut...parked right outside...again, never in doubt...returned home...Planned post.

Fridays are 'sandwich' day... I visit my friends most days at a local garage they own..as I'm not doing much in the way of car buying/repairing/selling now, I just pop in around lunchtime so as not to disturb their day...thoughtful am I... On a Friday, they order sandwiches from the local 'diner'..special treat...and I get one as well. Good times.

So on the way to the garage I dropped my parcel off, same day dispatch...all part of the service. My route to the garage and parcel 'drop-off' point is the same every time...There is only one major junction and it's a pain...why? Well because some drivers want to turn right across the traffic and no one ever wants to let them out... Can you relate to that ? Of course, you can, don't you normally speed up when you see someone trying to pull out of a junction so the gap in the traffic is to small for them to enter into ? Ummmmh.

I normally turn left and go with the flow, then turn off and scurry round the back roads to reach

my desired destination. One of the back roads has cars parked all along the one side but it's straight so you can see if there's oncoming cars...yesterday I was the one who would have to 'give way' which I had to do as someone was coming towards me. I dutifully found a gap in the parked cars and pulled in to let the other car pass me. As the car neared it started to veer towards me..Oh my...and it just kept coming.. I had nowhere to go..to say I mumbled a few expletives would be an understatement...still it kept coming..brace for impact...then, at the last second it straightened up...big phew...then pulled up alongside me. When I looked across....it was one of my friends from the garage.... I think my expression had made his day... I had most definitely been 'mugged off' as the younger generation say.

So, back at the garage much merriment was had at my expense...so glad I could bring joy...

Home via the Post Office to off another package and onto the writing...My recent 'disjointedness' had slowed my creative juice flow down, somewhat. That's the problem with 'stop/starting'... I sometimes come back to a post, read through and think 'Where on earth was I am going with this'.. Not tonight Josephine...tonight was for starting and completing, which I did.

Whilst I was studiously creating I had two e-mails come through telling me that a couple of posts had just been indexed...now that is always nice.

So this blog has used none of the 'notes', I had jotted down...More material for another day. So as you can see it turned into a stunning day...and from such an inauspicious start...but then I wasn't in the mood for anything apart from success. I had a plan and I was going to get through it, no matter what. Relentless.

Chugga chugga, Whooooo.

It is a real word..see.

Be well.

Loved it!
Woohoo

Yay, thank you Fleeky, this was a fun one to write.

I bet
😁

I had to come back to read this as life interrupted my thought for this...I will say, that ALL DAY all that went through my head was The Little Train... Thank You for that, as it replaced a Monty Python song...(Every * is Sacred)...

Onward... Always be relentless!

Ii just like the fact that the grammar thingy thought 'Chugga' was a legit word. You've had that MPFC song going on for days...

But, does that train have a destination?

It's like some of those posts. Do they have a destination? I just started one, but don't think it is going anywhere, so will start over. Good luck on finishing yours...

Thank you Fran. I think the ebb and flow of 'life' causes my fluctuations...That's OK though, at least I now realise that I either have to change my expectations or my 'routine'...I tend to 'wing it' for the most part and that only works some of the time...Reading/talking about it now has made me see that I need a more 'disciplined' approach...

I don't know,Twack -- don't become too disciplined. It's nice to have someone around who is a little crazy. It helps keep the rest of us sane...lol...

Don't worry, I wrote that while I was spinning in my chair.

Chugga chugga...

Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome...Whoo Whooo.

Hey Twack and welcome back.

Its good to sometimes give yourself a breathing space in a bit of quick travel and come back.

Hope you enjoyed that Chugga, Chugga, Chugga, Chugga. Woo, Wooo.

Cheers.

Something hypnotic about being on a train...the regularity of the 'beat' perhaps....sometime I just need to 'be...thanks for popping in David, always nice to see you.
