Can We Fix It ?
'Can we fix it ? Yes we can.' Ah yes, infamous words from a children's TV show no less. 'Bob The Builder' How I used to love watching the animated antics of Bob, Wendy, Pilchard the Cat, Scoop, Muck and Dizzy, to name but a few of the 'Can-do Crew'. How we laughed with gay abandon, until lunchtime was over and I had to go back to the office. Not really, I've only worked in an office once and that was before Bobby Boy was a scribble on the animators' blotter pad.
Neil Morrissey was the voice of Bob, famous for 'Men Behaving Badly' but maybe more fondly remembered as 'Rocky' out of 'Boon' with Michael Elphick.
Anyway, Bob faces more problems on a daily basis, than seems fair, especially for someone who has the same wardrobe habits as Steve Jobs did. Same togs every day. Methodical, steadfast and resolute in his ability to solve all the issues that came his way. With the help of his friends, of course.
No man is an island, after all. Well, maybe Richard Branson.
Is there a tenuous link anywhere in sight ? Of course there is, it's the law. An officer of the law
and a minkey. See, now I've dragged myself into some Inspector Clouseau. It's made me realise that the policeman, or should I say 'Gendarme' out of 'Allo Allo', Officer Crabtree, must have taken his character traits from Peter Sellers. Never occurred to me, before tonight. Have to follow the thoughts when they decide to go off on one. It's even better when you try to reverse your way back to the origin. Exercise for the mind.Back to Bob. Metaphor, simile, analogy, even personification. Mmm, none of them really fit, Bob's not real and at most he's 2D.
'Bob the Builder' is the website, your website, you're Bob. You build sites and solve problems, issues, with the help of your friends. No ? Yes.
Bob's a builder, a handyman, a fixer, a mediator, a facilitator. Every day he has to address something different and fix it. He identifies the problem and comes up with a plan to resolve it. Every episode is an 'article'. Each has it's own unique dilemma that needs to be sorted. Sound familiar.
These types of shows are not singular, there are many of them, series after series. Post after post. They keep going because they keep getting watched. We go back, time and time again. Regular viewers, visitors, looking to see what happens next.
He gets the job done.
Can we fix it ?
Izzy-Wizzy, Let's Get Busy.
Oh, that's from the Sooty Show. Never mind. Yes we can.

When it comes to Sir Richard, he is probably well into the planning phases, of that island on the edge of space.
That can we fix it attitude can work wonders.
My first project, aside from two 'Bagatelle' boards bought from a jumble sale, was an old 'Grundig' transistor radio. The ones that had padding on the case. Took it apart, prodded and poked and managed to get some voices out of it. I think I was eight or nine and have been the same ever since.
True to say, the putting back together is the tricky part, though.
Maybe a 'myth' but I'm sure Sir Richard Branson started out selling 'Bootleg' cassettes of bands, allegedly.
Those characters are all new to me except the infamous Inspector Clouseau. The fight scene where his sidekick ambushes him from the refrigerator was unforgettable.
And the Pink Panther was maybe my favorite Saturday morning cartoon. Guess I am showing my age not knowing Bob the Builder. Sounds like he may have a future in Affiliate Marketing or SEO.
Thanks for sharing Twackster. Have a great week.
Making a living, making a difference.

My excuse is that the children watched it. I can go back as far as 'Bill and Ben, The Flowerpot Men' and 'Andy Pandy', a spattering of 'The Magic Roundabout' and 'Captain Pugwash'
Not sure some of them would get through the board of control today. I'm fairly sure 'The Clangers' was taken off for teaching children bad habits in regards to speaking.
Terrific Tuesday is upon us Mark. Be well.
