One Year At WA Today!

Today is my 1st birthday!

Looking at my profile, you would see "February 2018" as my joining date. To tell you the truth, if I had my way, I would surely enter WA's backend and change that date.

The reason is, when I signed up to WA in February last year and learned that I had full access to all the features for only seven days as a free subscriber, I "withdrew" right away as I did not want to lose any of the features after a week, and was not prepared to go Premium at the time. I actually did so nearly six month later, on August 2. Hence my Wealthy Affiliate birthday.

How has it been?

Like so many newbies to online business, what I had initially hoped for was to start to make money immediately. But that was a misjudgment. I had not learned that online business thrives only on trust, and not by simply owning a website. (Lesson # 1 for Newbies)

I later settled down, and then this whole phenomenom called affiliate marketing started to take shape. My last two posts highlight the few successes I had over the last several months; needless restating all of them here.

But remarkable amonst them are:

- successfully building (with absolutely no prior knowledge whatsoever) a fully-functioning niche website with a good number of daily visitors

- proficiency when it comes to using website analysis tools; and

- (though minimal) making my first-ever dollars online.

Having gone through the OEC component of the training, I've recently been involved in what I'll refer to more or less as "exploration." By this I mean, just learning all sorts of different things.

As part of my exploration, I've been reading so many other members' posts, and I can't overemphasize how profitable they have been to my business. (You learn an awesome lot just by doing that).

Appreciation

A number of experienced members' blog posts have actually served as a source of illumination to my online business journey - Jerry Huang, for example - especially being the complete newbie to online marketing that I was a year ago.

Few other members have been quite helpful. They have given me a whole new perspective of what online business is, which I am extremely grateful for.

They include my Premium coach, Gary Horton, who has taken the time to answer my never ending questions. And the larger community of followers and friends who are always there whenever I'm in need.

This list wouldn't be complete without including owners, Kyle and Carson, for having made such unlimited opportunity available to the world; Master Jay for the practical approach learnt from his webinars, as well as Site Support for promptly addresssing one problem or another relating to my website.

To everyone, I say, thanks a lot.

The Year Ahead

I learned from an acquaintance some time ago that one's first year in online business is actually for learning. I now tend to agree, since I have experienced just that.

The knowledge acquired here over the past year is real power. The training, coupled with the experience gained from exploring divers avenues will serve as pillars for launching out.

I therefore begin this second part of my journey with much anticipation. This second year is expected to be one of good results. I expect to begin to produce fruits - not sporadically, but consistently: ones that will last. The prospects for the coming year are great!

By this time next year, I wish to return and confirm that this is actually happening.

I am quite aware that it takes a good bit of work. I'm not just aware of that; I'm already into it.

A solid foundation has been laid. What I need to do is to just build on it to see the results I desire starting to come in. That is what my second year is anticapated to be.

Happy 1st WAversary to me. Wishing myself many more very successful ones to come!
