Getting Started

Hi WA family. I know virtually nothing about crypto, but have to get a crypto wallet. Can anyone tell me how to get a crypto wallet; and possibly where, i.e. a renown platform

Hi Trodvies,

Please tell me why you need a crpto wallet. Although warned, I downloaded Metamask to secure ethereum. I wish now that I had listened to my friend.

Maxine :)

A cryptocurrency wallet is essential for securely storing, managing, and transacting digital assets like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Here’s a concise guide to help you get started:

Types of Crypto Wallets:

1. Hot Wallets: These are internet-connected wallets, offering easy access for frequent transactions.

They come in various forms:

• Desktop Wallets: Installed on your computer.
• Mobile Wallets: Apps for smartphones.
• Web Wallets: Accessible via web browsers.
Pros: User-friendly and convenient for daily use.
Cons: More susceptible to online threats.

2. Cold Wallets: These are offline storage devices, such as hardware wallets or paper wallets, providing enhanced security by keeping private keys offline.

Pros: Highly secure against online attacks.

Cons: Less convenient for quick transactions.

Renowned Platforms for Crypto Wallets:

Here are some reputable platforms offering various types of crypto wallets:

Ledger Nano X
A popular hardware wallet known for its robust security features and support for multiple cryptocurrencies.

Trezor Model T

Another leading hardware wallet offering advanced security and an intuitive touchscreen interface

Coinbase Wallet

A user-friendly mobile wallet provided by the well-known Coinbase exchange, suitable for beginners.

MetaMask

A widely used browser extension wallet, ideal for interacting with decentralized applications (dApps) on the Ethereum network.

Exodus

A desktop and mobile wallet with an intuitive interface, supporting a wide range of cryptocurrencies.

Setting Up Your Crypto Wallet:

1. Choose a Wallet: Select one that aligns with your needs—consider factors like security, ease of use, and the specific cryptocurrencies you plan to store.
2. Download and Install: Obtain the wallet from the official website or app store to avoid malicious versions.
3. Create an Account: Follow the setup instructions, which typically involve creating a strong password.
4. Secure Your Wallet:
• Backup: Safeguard your seed phrase (a series of words used to recover your wallet) by storing it offline in a secure location.
• Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Adds an extra layer of security.

Additional Considerations:

• Security: Always download wallets from official sources. Regularly update your wallet software to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Private Keys: Keep your private keys confidential. Anyone with access to them can control your funds.
• Transaction Fees: Be aware of potential fees associated with transactions, which can vary depending on the network and wallet used.
• Legal and Tax Implications: Familiarize yourself with the regulations and tax obligations related to cryptocurrency in your jurisdiction.

By following these steps and considerations, you’ll be well on your way to securely managing your cryptocurrency assets.

Hi WA Family:

I received the ff. 2 offers by email concerning my YT Channel, and I would like to know if they are legit or scams. Please share your experiences and advic

They look like the initial emails of a scam to me.

The use of the word "esteemed" is a sign of someone whose native language is not English. Corel Studio would be unlikely to miss-spell their name as "Stuido". There are other suspicious markers as well.

As for the second one, "pay you for each video, regardless" is too good to be true.

Thank you, Phil.

Follow Kyle's advice, often they will ask for card details if they do DO NOT Ever give them away, they will then rip you off.

Thanks, Stuart!

Yeah, stay away from you. As a rule of thumb, any offer that you get solicited to you and that you didn't ask for is almost certainly a scam.

These will happen with frequency as you build out your business and you start to gain reach in search engines (and people start sending stuff like this through your contact forms or your comments).

Avoid them like the plague!

Thanks to you, Kyle.

Hi, Trodvies!

Good to hear from you. Unfortunately, these offers are scams. The Corel changed its name to Alludo and is based in Canada, not Estonia as stated in the first offer. The second offer appears to be written by somebody who is not a native English speaker.

I recommend that you ignore them both.

As you've always done, Gary! I'm so appreciative of your continued guidance. Even when I don't approach you directly, you're always there to help and guide. Thanks a million for everything you've done and continue to do. I'm truly grateful!

I'm always happy to help!

Hi all. FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE (and not just research), what could be the perfect platform to monetize one's subscriber base apart from YouTube membership? Thanks.

You can create your own funnel and get people to sign up and build those interested in that way.

So whatever your interest (niche) Is, give people a reason to sign up to your subscriber list.. The key is to offer enough reason (incentive) for people to sign up to your subscriber list. The what will they get is key. Here's a series on email marketing by Jay, WAs webinar instructor. Aweber is a good autoresponder

Hi George:

Do you know that it's just today - close to one year later - that I'm reading your reply for the first time? I'm just seeing it now, my friend. Thanks a million for providing such a great answer to my question.

I want to succeed and I'm not sure crafting supplies would be it. It is no wrong way to craft so how can I effectatively

I have a crafting one but I am uncertain want to just look and decide

Are you after a funnel?

No, not a funnel. A platform to sell and manage memberships, and possibly receive donations/support from subscribers/fans.

Thanks, Abie.
